This x10, at least. I'm not even at the romance stage in DA:O yet, but the fact that your companions actually ask your PC about their life is already more than most characters in ME do. Heck, even Morrigan does it. With ME, the only people I remember commenting on Shep's background were Ashley and Kaidan, and even that was very brief. ME2 characters...I can't think of a single one who actually asked Shep anything personal. There was Mordin's sex advice, but that wasn't a question.

On a complete tangent: Leliana + Chasind Robe = can't...stop...staring  She annoyed the living daylights out of me the moment she opened her mouth, but that robe is...shameless.

If you are one of the few to pursue Jacob's romance path, after a few conversations he'll turn things around and ask FemShep how SHE's doing. It isn't that bad. FemShep vents her frustration about how everyone around her has changed while she's still the same, and then Jacob says a line that's both horribly corny and cute at the same time.

Oh wow...wouldn't have expected that. The rest of the time, he just behaves like he's worth a million dollars. Especially during the romance scene.

Then again, I guess Garrus asking "I'm more concerned about you, Shepard. Cerberus?" kinda counts. Except it's not a romance line ><

But then, if you count that, you'd also have to count Liara's "let's talk about you; are you ok?" as well (not a romance line either, as far as I can tell).

Liara looks up Shepard's background in ME1. Miranda also comments on Shepard's background, at least for male Shepards. But you're right, DA:O is much better about this.

The end of Jacob's romance is horrible, as is Shepard's behavior all throughout it, but Jacob himself is alright during the "courtship" phase. I'm not all that bothered that Garrus doesn't ask Shepard for further details about how she's doing, because they pretty much say it all after he initially comes onto the Normandy. Part of the appeal of a Shepard/Garrus relationship is what they don't say to one another, because there is no need for Shepard to explain herself to Garrus. His trust is beyond words.

Oh and something I thought was a good point.

If the next game IS a whole gather up the forces to do BAMF stuff to Reapers... if you cured the Genophage, would that mean the Turians would tell you to go screw?

Quite honestly, that's never been a problem for me. The krogan have the frightening potential to be the longest living rabbit race in the whole galaxy... and their bunnies with teeth.

Besides... I want the turians on my side. /nod

They may have a collective pole up their rear, but at least that makes them semi predictable... let humanity be the wild card in that equation.
