Another depressing thought is to see garrus's reaction at shepard's funeral if he/she does die in ME3.

He already lost him/her once, losing Shepard for the second time would be really depressing for Garrus.

I think losing shepard again would nearly kill him if someone doesn't step in soon.

Yep, there goes his only friend and the person he respected most in the galaxy. I would cry tears because of a chemical overload. :crying:

I think we already discussed this, but do you guys think Garrus would've done the same as Liara, retrieving Shep's body and giving it to Cerberus to resurrect? (the first time he/she died, not the potential second time in ME3)

Krogan biotics are pretty rare. They pretty much always evolve into Battlemasters, who are dying out, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, didn't it say something about how the rest of the galaxy was therefore fortunate? Image IPB

Looking at Garrus's face though (don't need to ask me twice) I'm not sure turians cry.

I mean... their eyes are a bit set back, depressed into their face "plate". There's soft skin immediately around the eye, but it doesn't seem like there's a convenient way to remove the moisture that comes from crying. Like no natural channel for it. Maybe they keen instead? Maybe something... I'm not sure. But I can't imagine Garrus wiping tears out of his eyes, his "talon" might poke it out er something.

I don't think garrus would have done that in ME1, he would think he would be disgracing the person he has tremendous amounts of respect for. But once the events happen in ME2....i think he would be more open for more drastic decisions.

I agree with you Blaze. I think he would have thought such a thing would remove Shepard's dignity, albeit posthumous. Or something like that.

like i said, i think the way that turians emote grief or sorrow is by having their mandibles quiver. We seen what garrus looks like when hes angry, and we kind of seen what he looks like when hes happy. In the end of ME1 when garrus thought shepard died, he definitely was able to emote depression from his eyes and head movements from what i noticed.

Didja ever read this? (sad fic alert)

I think losing Shepard again, espeically after all that's happened since Shepard's first death, might push Garrus over the edge.

I love that fic. I love all of Sia's writing, quite honestly. But that fic, in particular, inspired my Garrus Forgotten Letter.

The amount to which BW's animators and programmers were able to articulate turian facial expressions to the extent they did, with so many recognizable emotions on what might seem to be a relatively stiff, unyielding facial structure, is a testament to their skill.
And yes, the way Garrus sadly shakes his head in that scene is very emotional.  You can feel his sadness.

I actually like your writing too. kind of makes me wonder when garrus would be able to open up to both genders of shepard.

Oh yeah, I remember that letter. It was beautiful. I'm very curious what you're working on, something with crying turians and turian funerals... let us know when you finished it. Anything turian related is welcome here ;).

Alright, I'm off to bed. Keep Clan V alive! Also, I'm reposting this for the peeps who might have missed it:

Well.. I've never written much about turians before, so this is a bit of an experiment, with the protagonist being a turian. Y'all may be seeing a lot more of me in this thread, as I come to shamelessly use, abuse and plumb the depths of all of your collective knowledge and opinions.

Like.. For example.. We've decided its called a head fringe, right? The bits that stick out the back?

You think they'd wear hoodies? That get caught, if you weren't paying attention when pulling it up?

They do wear those knitted head coverings, hoodies seem like they'd be too much of a pain... Unless they're like.. reverse hoodies, haha.

I've never had something I've written before recommended like that!  Thank you, Janey!
