Love Interest: I just think, so many things in my life has gone wrong. I just want something to go right...just once...just.
You: Oh meh gawd are you just trying to have casual sex with me?
/worst way to end an relationship.

Yes, my interpretation of the Shepard/Garrus romance is testament to my actual relationships in real life.Mr.BlazenGlazen wrote...
People think that his romance is a fling? God they will have problems in an actual relationship then. Imagine the same romance scene from the game in real life.

Yeah, I felt like the Garrus and Jack relationship climaxes were the most meaningful because they seemed to be more about the emotion than the sex. (I realize that this is an interpretation of Jack's-- It could be seen as very sexual. I just didn't see it that way.)

This is certainly true of Tali and Thane's romances as well.siltsonata wrote...

Then my older brother graduated from college, so the whole family went to Indiana. Fun/emotional times were had by all and there was (gasp, blasphemy incoming:) no room for Garrus.

Re: romance - Garrus's scene, pretty emotional. I could have used a tad more skin... but that's just me personally (for science!)
Still my favorite though. (Though I guess I can't say that much since I've only seen like... 2 of the 6 romance scenes in ME2... Kaiden/Liara don't count.)
Re: counter human - The Greek states is actually a pretty interesting analog. But yea... that trope seems alive and well with human/turian interactions.
Though admittedly, while many folks (or the most vocal) may be anti turian, I think the farther you get from the home world (Earth), the less that kind of thing is felt. Or delt with. It's kind of hard to live your life on the Citadel, for example, when there's turians everywhere... You adapt fast or die young.
Same probably goes for turians. The advantage they have is they've had a few thousand years to establish themselves, so they may have more "home" worlds with that kind of feeling. Then again, they have their own problems, with their infighting and all. If anything, maybe the Hegimony is focusing on the "human" problem so they can ignore their own problems at home. Try and give them a common enemy outside themselves to hate and what not all the while their own internal problems fester.
Oh and good morning. ^.^

Awwwwwwww yeah. "Interspecies barriers", we have dismissed that claim.
I also forgot, there was a bit of Garrus-relatedness on my trip. I texted my friend (Who was housesitting for my family, and watching our dog for us.) a couple days in to let her know that (gasp) I hadn't thought about Mass Effect in three whole days. Some time later, I got this picture of plushie ME1 Garrus:

And the text beneath it read, "We've taken him hostage."
Then they put him in the car:

And took him to IHOP.

Hostage!Garrus approves of pancakes, people.
(I make no apologies for this. My friends are awesome.)

Wow. This made me lol so hard, I wouldn't be surprised if you heard it on the other side of the ocean. Also made me think of the movie 'Amélie', with all the holiday pics of the gnome in different countries.

Yeah, this is actually more of an old trick of theirs, they were doing this with a black and white cardboard cutout of Sora from Kingdom Hearts back in high school. It doesn't make it any less funny for me though. (Plus, plushies are more portable than cutouts. I think I might take ME1 Garrus more places, hmmm...)

Does he have a joint in his mouth?
Maybe.
Alright, another thing I just finished:

Oh what a coincidence, he's in the exact same pose as in the Holland pic!
I was playing around with some sliders, and I grinned when Garrus suddenly turned green-skinned in pink armor. It was... weird.
edit: ah what the hell, I'm going to show it.

He would sooooo fit into my house... like a chameleon.
