Is it sad that I didn't know Sha'ira was on the citadel until I replayed ME recently? The Krogan on the citadel in ME2 talk about it but I thought she was just not in the games for real. She's one of the few really pretty Asari IMO. For such an incredibly sexy race Asari are sort of a disappointment. Most of them look either weird or average. And what happened to all the interesting skin colors and patterns in ME2? In ME2 they all seem to be blue or slightly lilac. In original ME they could have shiny skin with purple streaks etc. if I remember correctly and they were much nicer to look at. They sorta look greasy in ME2.

Huh, different tastes. I thought Sha'ira had a weird face. The fact that she basically rubs up against you for no reason when you first meet her also doesn't help. Her assistant was prettier, IMO, but Samara's still the one I find the most beautiful/attractive. Although I've seen a lot of people say Aria was hot too...Now that's something I really don't get...She looks like a man >.> And that tattoo between her eyebrows is completely unflattering.
It's true that asari skin has something weird going on in ME2 though. They do look wet/oily/shiny, which is just odd. And they get new, even weirder looking face models (cf. the detective in Samara's recruitment mission).
Turians are based on Raptors/Reptiles, they sure as hell don't look like mammals...So there's a large chance they lay eggs.
According to the Codex, the only major race that lays eggs are salarians. Nothing is mentioned about eggs for any other race; and since egg-laying would be a pretty notable trait, and the Codex is all about pointing out notable differences between human and alien biology, I think it's pretty safe to assume turians have live births. Just as any other major race.

What's so awful about them laying eggs? Even if they gave live birth, a human still wouldn't be able to reproduce with them, so it really doesn't matter.

The turian in the Dark Star bathroom kinda proves there's at least a "Tab A" in the way we're used to them. Let's just say since humans can be "friendly" with them, the mechanics have to be similar. Which means no egg laying.

I'm afraid I'm with those folks. I find Aria easily the most stunningly gorgeous Asari ever. It might also be that she's in a position of power and seems very dominant *shrugs*.

Lol, no worries, as I said, different tastes. I'm guessing her personality majorly contributes to her appeal. Her physical appearance just doesn't do anything for me at all. Or rather, her face. Her body, I could deal with

Sha'ira and a few other NPCs need to give Shepard some personal space. Shepard just stands there like a dummy and lets them rub against him/her.
They need to put in a renagade interrupt.

"I punched Sha'ira...AND I LIKED IT!"
Edit: Another asari-related question. Does anybody know why Liara is the only asari with eyebrows?

They look eye-linered on.
Yeah, but why did she draw them on? Does she think it makes her more attractive? Doesn't seem to be a very common practice among asari...Besides, she doesn't really seem to be a fashionista.

The only thing that remotely can give me an answer is look at geishas. Everything was done for accentuation.

It's probably a design decision because she's a love interest...but so far as canon goes, it's very far fetched. Either her genetics magically aligned themselves to resemble eyebrows, or she painted them on for...some reason. Can't see much use for eyebrow makeup for a recluse archaeologist living on remote, desolate planets.Nilfalasiel wrote...

This happened to me when I used the ME1 texture mod to fix Garrus' face. At one point, the game started using his face on several random objects. I lol'd.
So, without any further ado:
