I was just wondering.. do you think that turian mouths are flexible enough to, for example, sneer in contempt? Mostly when I'm writing a turian I use the mandibles to express facial gestures, but I was wondering today just how much movement you can get out of their mouths, too.

Indeed.  We should have asked at the time when we were helping, he did have a lot of free time to write that book of human questions.

I was driving out of my apartment complex this morning, and at the entrance, one of the groundskeepers had a hose out and was watering stuff around the sign. He was yanking on the hose to get some slack in it.



I asked him if it could reach. He said just barely.



As I was driving away, I said to myself "Well, at least it's flexible."



I was laughing all the way to work.

Wouldn't it be cool if during a mission, they have to walk through a space station that harnessed a lot of power , then something short circuits and they get all get hit by wave or a pulse of electricity. Shields on their suits get turned off , leaving them venerable, can't contact joker and the alien translators don't work. So shepard has to communicate with the team without understanding what they are saying. If you have all humans in your team you get the standard dialouge , if you have aliens you get bonus funny dialouge and subtitles appear for the aliens automatically.



Shepard: Is everyone alright?

Garrus: I'm fine, but I think my shields are down

Shepard: What?

Garrus: I said think my shields are down

Shepard: Garrus, I think your translator is broken

Garrus: But I can still understand you, either yours is fine or you know how to speak perfect turian

Shepard: I wish I knew some turian so I could understand what the heck you were saying

Garrus: Never mind. Still, this might not be so bad, I can sass my commanding officer and get away with it, it’s every subordinate’s dream.

Shepard: Don't even think about it Garrus, I might not know what you're saying but I do know when you're being a smartass.

Garrus: Am I that predictable?

Considering he's got blood on his face too, I think it's just supposed to be a "heat-of-the-battle" moment or something.

I think I've finally figured out why Garrus is so much my favorite character.


See, out of all the characters in ME1, alot of them had different fates in ME2:


Liara, Ashley, and Kaidan all got pretty much sidelined

Wrex got sidelined for justifiable reasons.

Anderson remains pretty much the same.

Joker's got more dialogue this time around but is pretty much the same.

Tali's character completely changed directions between games and even though she's still likable it's for entirely different reasons, sometimes I kind of miss the ME1 version of Tali when playing ME2.


But Garrus....Garrus is the only character I feel I can without reservation say comes into the sequel as everything he used to be and more. He actually grows, is much more badass this time around, and a character who was already really cool got much cooler. I think that's why  I like him the most.

I seriously cannot see a reason why to not like him. Usually when people give their reasons they don't even make a fraction of a sense.
