Something awful occured to me last night guys. Turians are based on Raptors/Reptiles, they sure as hell don't look like mammals...So there's a large chance they lay eggs.

The turian in the Dark Star bathroom kinda proves there's at least a "Tab A" in the way we're used to them.  Let's just say since humans can be "friendly" with them, the mechanics have to be similar.  Which means no egg laying.

They could be built like ostriches.  They have a slightly more "complicated" plumbing system than a pigeon or a chicken.

Hi Garrusites.  Playing extra catch-up since I went out last night for my anniversary.  So now, I'm a day behind instead of my customary 17 hours.  I want to post this first bunch of responses before my computer crashes or something.  Then it's back to reading.  I'm on page 936. :)

Also, regarding the “we get too hung up on the anaphylactic shock” thing: I think it’s fun to focus on that for the lulz. Xsause’s “Of course I want to have sex which could possibly kill me” line is still one of my favourite things on the internet.  I’m certain Mordin was joking (although not so much with his chafing comment...Posted Image), but then this begs the question: how sure is Shepard that this is the case? At the back of her mind, is she thinking “Do not ingest. Do not ingest. Do not ingest.” And attempting not to looked freaked? Also: if he said that to her, lord knows what Mordin told Garrus! Posted Image

I have always wanted to know that! Posted Image hehe

And I think I'm thinking of turians too much. I was reading this extract from a Journal about Mesopotamia, and I swore for a second that word was 'turian', then realised the word was turanian. :pinched:

They are very similar, so the error is totally understandable...although I have to tell you, I am starting to imagine turian-related stuff in my daily life too. LOL Posted Image

Mememe!  I'll do it (even though I don't know what the heck you are talking about with this Eurovision stuff, but I'm sure it's a great excuse to drink.  Of course, what isn't? Posted Image)

OK here's the next chunk of catch-up.  I have to go out for a bit so I'll just post this even though I'll probably have one more when I get back (I think I'm on page 939).

That is just fantastic.  Great shot!

Side effects from sex with Garrus may include:
Fainting, dizziness, lack of sexual attraction to humans, high blood pressure, swelling, chafing, rash, and in rare instances anaphylactic shock may be possible.  Please consult your doctor before engaging in stress relieving activities with Garrus Vakarian.
Haha, great!  I can hear that in the announcer's voice from a typical drug ad.
danitiwa wrote:
About his music tastes, Garrus obviously has awful music taste if he picked that flux track for a romantic evening because he liked it. If he just thought Shepard would then I guess he doesn't.
I really think it's the latter.  He's trying to please Shepard, so he picked something he guessed she'd like.  Of course, he guessed incorrectly, but this just goes with his remark about not watching vids to know enough about human culture.  Anyway, human cultures are so varied, he'd probably have passed out trying to get adequate information that way. :P

And the second picture is just adorable. Yum.

I had a weird crash in one of my games - went to talk to Wrex and suddenly I got a load of texture maps like the Garrus head there on screen instead of the cutscene. It was freaky! Had to hit reset.

Regarding plumbing, I think turians have similar input/output devices to humans - just the packaging is a little difference. At least, if you do go to Afterlife's VIP area and stop the sleazy turian (Meln I think) hitting on the asari dancer, he says something to the affect of "you've got quite a mouth on you, I'll enjoy seeing you use it later." (paraphrase). The implications are pretty obvious.

I guess, given their mouth structures and sharp teeth, the only way turian men can enjoy, ahem, oral pleasure, is from an asari or human. I guess that's one advantage Shep has over turian women. Provided she doesn't, ah, ingest...

Believe me, you can only enjoy the Eurovision when you're drunk. In short: a bunch of European countries with silly songs. This was last year's winner. :P But, since we live a couple of hours ahead of ya, you'd have to start drinking in the afternoon. Not that that's a problem for us winos of course

As for why Garrus chose the Flux music: I like to think that he remembered that (my) Shep danced a lot in Flux, and he figured she liked the music. But he didn't watch the vids, so he has no idea that this is not really fitting for a night like that :P. But still, he should have danced to it.

And the plumbing system... no comment.

Same with Tali, she's the only one actually willing to girltalk, then after the awkward suit-linking conversation she keeps giving you the "I have to clean up this engine" schtick. I wish you could talk more with her if you're female.

I found myself wishing the same thing with Jack.
(But if they would offer me more dialogue with Garrus instead, that would win out...sorry Jack!)

Yes indeed it is filled with a abundance of the coolness that only Garrus Vakarian can create. I realy like your signature made from this picture by the way, mind if I borrow it? I could realy need a good Garrus signature but it is understandable if you want to keep it for yourself.

See when I need to rapidly catch up, I usually just skip stuff and then pretend I know what's going on.

Don't ever be ashamed that you have a real life and I pretty much don't. :P

And lovgreno, I think it'd be all right to use that sig...I think at one point Mr. BlazenGlazen was offering it around, anyway.  (If I'm wrong, he can just cut off my tapioca supply for 2 weeks.) :wizard:

It's true, real life is the reason I almost never post in the thread of my other favorite character.

Then again....keeping up with the Tali thread and keeping up with the Garrus thread aren't exactly in the same ballpark.

Yeah, keeping up with the Tali thread would require at least 3 of me so that as one drops of exhaustion, the other can take over. It's a round-the-clock job. XD

But it seems that the Garrus thread gets comparitively slow just as I am getting on here. A girl could start to take it personally. <j/k>

Sorry, K.  I'm about to go participate in my seldom exercised social life.

And now, I am imagining the crew (and Garrus) at a BBQ.

I'm dealing with a customer support hotline to try and get my hard drive replaced under its warranty and have been applying for jobs all week so I've not been posting so avidly as I normally might.

Hell yeah, I really want to see some sort of crew gathering. Probably won't happen, but it would be so much fun. I know the Reapers are coming and we have to save the galaxy, but a little relaxation couldn't do any bad. Sharing brandy with the doc was very nice, like Shep says, it's nice to see her let her hair down. Unless you're romancing someone, you don't really get a chance to chill with your party members. It would make me sooooooooooo happy to have some kind of party night/dinner/whatever.

Oh well, a girl can dream :)

It's possible that they is some kind of celebration after the Reapers are defeated and you can to your squad members, ala DA:O. I think that could be nice actually...if done well.
