I think it also depends on your mood when you're drinking. Alcohol takes away some inhibitions (woo Garrus, go crazy!), but it's not always the hyperactive thing. I've had times that I drank a lot and became a quiet, giggling about nothing girl. There was also that time that I crawled around on the floor, kept shouting silly things and ran into a glass door.

But hyperactive-drunk Garrus would be the most fun. In fact, I would crack up if he was the one who started yelling about mutant babies. :D

I also want to see him dance. And this is a great excuse to post that dancing turian again.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great series.

Gah...so there's more than I thought? :crying:
Never heard of that trilogy...think I'll read your fic instead Nevara! :o
I was thinking of something else.  Gah, not my thing.

The night I met my husband-to-be, it was my best friend's birthday.  She was driving, so she couldn't drink...everyone bought her drinks, and I drank them.  For some reason, they were all B-52s. :D
I ended up lying flat on the floor, throwing darts at a dart board--while, I reiterate, lying flat on the floor of a bar.  I'm not sure what caused this man to think I would be a good mother for his children but, well, 16 years later and here we are. :wizard:

And about the dancing Garrus, I posted something earlier in this increasingly-massive thread showing Garrus dancing to Flux music in ME1.  Haha, it was dang funny Posted Image  (and of course I can't find the link, LOL)

Hey Garrus thread! Just stopping by from the Tali thread to say hello.

I bring a gift of Garrus-related minific! Enjoy!

*Shepard and Garrus stand in the armory, inspecting equipment for an upcoming mission. Garrus turns to Shepard before checking the sights on his sniper rifle.*

Garrus: So... You and Tali?

*Shepard ejects an old thermal clip from his pistol before turning to Garrus.*

Shepard: You noticed?

*Garrus shrugs, placing the rifle back on the table.*

Garrus: Well, you just confirmed it.

*Shepard grins, replacing the pistol's thermal clip. The two friends share a long silence.*

Garrus: Can I just say that it's about damn time?

*Shepard laughs. He smiles as he turns to Garrus.*

Shepard: Were we both that obvious?

Garrus: You two were inseperable! I'm amazed it took you both as long as it did.

*Another shared silence.*

Garrus: Can I ask you something?

*Shepard places the pistol back on the table before crossing his arms, his full attention on Garrus.*

Garrus: What does she look like?

*Shepard raises an eyebrow.*

Shepard: I don't kiss and tell, Garrus.

Garrus: So there was kissing?

*Shepard returns to inspecting his weaponry.*

Garrus: Oh come on! You can tell me!

Shepard: Joker's got his betting pool up and running again?

Garrus: Shepard... I've got a whole lot of money riding on this.

Here's a question though - would Turian females wear jewelry? Being a militaristic culture that seems to emphasis military, I'm not sure.

Seems like a fine way to to divide the sexes.

Then again, they apparently can already tell the difference.

:D. Why doesn't the game have conversations like this? :(

@ Collider: I don't think jewelry is very practical when you're in the military. It could be possible with women who work somewhere else, but have we ever seen an asari with jewelry? Or a human? I can't remember, but I don't think so. Jewelry is either rare or BW forgot about it.

More turian mysteries. Don't know if I have to love it or hate it :P

For kglaser: Garrus gets his groove on.

Oh yea - that's true. I meant more mean they were off duty, like something more casual.

It seems rare. I could see the Asari having jewelry but I don't seeing any. The closest thing to they have to jewelry it seems are those outfits that the Asari have. Which raises another question - turian fashion.

It's written by Anne Rice, under the pen name A. N. Roquelaure.

I started wondering where Jack would want to visit or feel more comfortable if she were to visit Earth, so then I started wondering just where all the squadmates would like to go if they visited Earth. So what about Garrus?

He mentions Virmire reminding him of Palavan (side-topic: do we know that Garrus is actually from Palavan?) and I know that Virmire is based on Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. So he'd certainly feel comfortable there. But where would you like to take him?

I'd certainly not take him anywhere cold...maybe Fiji? Or someplace more urban, like Sydney, Australia. But part of me would want to take him to a big city, like Tokyo or New York, I'm not sure why.

Rocky Point would be a good place too.

Greetings Garrus thread. I require some assistance.

I am currently working on a story, running through a possible story line for ME3. This will be similar to those old 'choose your own adventure' books, where at certain points the reader will be required to make a decision, which will bend the story in a different direction, making the story more personalized to each reader.

For this story I am trying to keep each character as true to their actual character as possible. Unfortunately I am not an expert on every character, and actually I know very little of the behavior/attitudes of many.

The help I require, is that I would appreciate if one, or a few, of you would help me to make sure that I keep Garrus true to his character in this story. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

We know he grew up on Palaven. He comments on it when you're on Therum, saying that he 'thought Palaven was hot' and on Virmire. We don't know how long he lived there though, because he mentions seeing glorious vids of his dad arresting criminals on tv (or the 22nd equivalent of that). Maybe his dead moved to the Citadel when he got his job at C-Sec and Garrus stayed on Palaven with his mom, but we never hear anything about his mom. Maybe he moved to the Citadel with his dad. Anyway, he grew up on Palaven.

We know very well that Garrus doesn't like the cold, because he reminds you of that on Noveria, so I would probably not take him to a place with snow. There are a lot of wonderful places on Earth we could take him to visit. I think I'd go for a big city as well. Dunno which one, I haven't visited that many big cities :P. Or maybe a cruiseship that takes you to various places. You have some time to relax and some time to go sightseeing and discover what Earth looks like in 2185.

Anyway, I'm off to bed :wizard:

Garrus is like a cross between batman and the punisher. He wants to help people in any way he can to make the galaxy a better place, but he thinks everything in his life has gone wrong. If shepard paragoned him then he knows that getting the objective done "'whatever the cost" is generally a bad idea. He looked up to shepard as a mentor in ME1, and in ME2 it had gotten to the point where he is very close friends with shepard. He kind of bases his actions on what shepard does in their missions.

Also, he hates the thought of being restricted by rules and regulations, so he wants to do what he thinks is right based on the circumstances. In ME2 he is somewhat darker than in ME1, his view being clouded by thoughts of revenge.

Comparing places doesn't necessarily mean you grew up there, though. If I was on Virmire, I'd probably go "this reminds me of Vietnam," but I'm not from Vietnam. But the fact he'd make the comparison twice on two distinctly different locations such as Therum and Virmire does indicate Palaven is of particular importance to him.

On Virmire, he says (and I quote): "This world reminds me of where I grew up on Palaven... minus the geth of course."

So yes, he grew up on Palaven.

On a second thought about the place on Earth, I'll have to add that it shouldn't be a big city with a high crime rate. Garrus would go crazy.

Thank you for that outline of Garrus.

I may be returning occasionally as I work on this project as well, asking how Garrus would react to certain situations.

Thank you all for your help.
