Chimervera, you go above and beyond...thanks for doing all that for the good of the thread! :)

My pleasure ^_^ When it comes to discussion, I don't have much to contribute - other people can say what I think so much more eloquently - so I'm contributing in any way I can.

With a missile launcher! :wizard:

I tried making Garrus have a grenade launcher too, but when he's just holding it and not shooting, it just has that 3-D model pose while walking... like this (with a grenade launcher in his hands)

I’m wondering how you guys think Bioware will structure the romances in the last game. Not just for garrus but for everyone, will they make them REALLY different since they don't have to worry about continuity or do you think they'll stick with the same formula, that is, making the romances similar so that no one feels "cheated" if that makes sense. In ME1 everyone got fair treatment but the scenes were samey, me2 had very different final scenes but that meant there was some unfair treatment (garrus) in terms of build up, affection etc.

Also, I don't know about anyone else but I hope there isn't a "fanficy" ending for garrus. It would put me off severely if I actually listened to garrus and shepard talk about adoption and marriage and cottages with white picket fences. Seriously , you don't write an epic, imaginary universe full of endless possibilities and wonder and then do a JK Rowling and just make them have babies because it’s too difficult to chuck out the standard Life ScriptTM and think outside the box. I really don’t think Bioware would pull something like that, but some of the fan art I’ve seen has kept me up at night and I wonder “what if they DO that?.... AHHHHHHHHHHH!!”

@ Nevara:

I'm on chapter 2 of your story and it made me tear up at the part where he is preparing for the stand against the mercs and thinking about whether he'll 'see Shepard when [he] gets there'. His internal dialogue there is very moving. I will continue reading...

*General thought: I'm playing ME1 again and I'm thinking about what Nihlus tells Shepard at the beginning about their watching her and considering her for Spectre candidacy. This seems to differ from Garrus saying that he is going to re-apply for Spectre training towards the end of ME1. My impression is that becoming a spectre is due to nomination not training.

*Re romances: As much as I expect and want there to be some sort of confrontation/reckoning if you chose a different LI in ME2 from the original, I really hope that the time given to the romance from ME2 (especially Garrus') will not be spent solely on the confrontation with the original LI. In other words, I definitely want to tell Kaidan what I think of him and Garrus has a few things he'd like to tell Kaidan about his treatment of me on Horizon... but I want more than that for the romance. What will they do together after the war against the Reapers is over? That is a question I want explored. I think they both need action and the sense of helping right wrongs and how they will meet that need while remaining together is something I am curious about.

I was 99.999% sure that Garrus art was in here somewhere, but it can't hurt to bring it up again, to gaze upon:)

Saw a request for female Turian refs a page or 2 back and didn't see this one, so I'll throw this out there:

Nevan - Cueing up your fan fic!

It's  well done, I'll give it that, but to me it looks too much like Garrus in a bikini.

Come on, give me some tertiary sexual characteristics here. No need to emphasize the chest or the bare midriff! Those are distinctively mammalian traits. Turians are archosaurian equivalents. They should have... I don't know, supportive waists and nice fringes!

Again, good picture. The design just seems... off to me. All in good fun though, I suppose. B)

I'm sorry, it's just what came to mind. It's going for the obvious association of bare midriff and bra equals female without changing much.

I meant no disturbing images. Honest.

I like the picture in general but the red top looks more like a life preserver than a garment. It seems as if there could be more colouration to female turians to differentiate them from males instead of dressing in a feminine style; some is visible there along the neck and arms. Although in some species, it is the female who has the drab colouration.

I think it could use a more different facial construction. Specifically a fringe that you can easily tell apart from males, since Garrus specifically comments that's something male Turians would me looking at.

The latter, for reasons I have just invented.

Garrus is rather reserved in a way (not entirely open, not incredibly talkative) so I think while drunk he may be opposite.

I know I'm late, but did someone say drunk Garrus? :wizard:

I would love to see that, Garrus mumbling nonsense aloud. "SHeeparrrd. Youu knowww the mission comes firsst... Butt what's that thingg called a hamSSsster doing inn yourroom anyway?"

I died laughing in the Dark Star when Shepard asked the Bartender to pour her another one in "that thing you pour them in."

As for the female Turian, I think their entire torso would be more Narrow than the males'.  They probably have long fringes too, because apparently that's an attractive trait. Or at least that's the impression I got from Garrus' "If you were a turian" speech.

God I hope Bioware makes female turians. We should have a petition or something.

Rofl. I'd love to see something like that with Garrus. Make it happen Bioware!

Yea I thought that was a hilarious line.

Haha, good idea. Alll seriousness though, I'd be disappointed if we don't see any in ME3. Would be really weird since we're not given any in-game lore reasons for females being mysteriously absent. With the Salarians and Krogan, their females are rare and usually kept away, but the Turians we've got nothing. I get the impression that Turian males and females are equal, so it would strange if they didn't show up.

What you don't know is that Garrus is secretly a female turian. You just never knew the difference. :P

I actually would love to have a turian female squad member. It would be so cool, and I get a buddy to go tease Garrus with my Shep if I feel like it. Especially if the female turian squad member starts giving hilarious advice for my Shepard on how male turians really operate.

@Nivenus: So... Garrus is monogendered, like asari?

If she's cool, maybe I can hook Garrus up with her as M!Shepard :innocent: Though there isn't anyone who can compare to F!Shepard for Garrus =p

Asari are all female! I insist this is true! They're parthenogenic, not hermaphroditic or asexual!

Besides, I didn't say the turians were all female. I just said Garrus is a female. Saren and Nihlus are male. And Lorik Qu'in's a female too. We humans are just blind to the obvious difference. :P

Garrus as a female and Saren as a male hooking up, with Lorik Qu'in (female) and Li (consider him a female too) watching in jealousy...

It's not perfect, but it's my idea of what a female turian might look like. Turians are cat-like, so focusing on more feline features would make them more attractive to humans and still keep them believable. We don't want them to look hideous to us, because that drops game sales. :\\ Iss tru, with the Asari and Quarians at least. They're made to look curvy and booby to attract male buyers.

The game designers added features that are distinctively attractive to humans into some of the alien species, like Thane and Garrus for example, they have to be romancable. So they have to be attractive to us girls. (Large shoulders/ ribcage, tall, I can make a list.)

If you give female turians some slightly mammal-like features, like faking the sight of boobs but they're actually just a hard curve in the rib cage it will still look right but it won't be biologically inaccurate.

Also I gave this one prettier shiny eyes.

Irregardless. WHAT'S THIS? NO BOOBS, NO LIPS, FRINGE ONLY! Final destination.
