Amen. I'm playing ME1 again and with the TexMod, it's Garrus all over, plus all the little moments that seem to portend romance. I am glad that BW took out the big blue icons on the team members for interactions yet wish they kept the 'combat posture/crouch at will' feature, which is best for derriere shots, er, good pics from all angles.

Doing another playthrough - at the first meet & greet with the crew before hitting up Omega - and I think it's time I took a look at this much-extolled Garrus romance. I'll admit the "something to go right" line kinda hit me just right when I first read it, but the chemical incompatibility threw me - cross-species is one thing, but (to coin a phrase) intimate toxicity is another.
But you know what? Shepard's out there putting her life on the line every day, and it's always gone best when she knows that turian rebel has his scope looking over her shoulder. Maybe it's time she relied on him when the armor comes off, too.

I didn't spoil myself of anything Garrus related in ME2. I didn't even know he was in it when i first started playing. Well i was pleasently surprised when i found out about the romance and not spoiling it was totally worth it.

Apologies in advance, but my little literary soul had to pick up on this. Mr Darcy is from Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Wuthering Heights is by Emily Brontë, a completely different book (and her only book): the hero in that is called Heathcliff, and he's one MEAN bastard...who is also stupidly hot. Mr Darcy is sexy, but ultimately nice. Heathcliff is sexy and NOT nice.

I think Wheels by the Foo Fighters kind of fits, but only for the more tragic ME2 Garrus. For Garrus in general...I'd have to go for Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi, as has been suggested before. The lyrics just fit perfectly.

One thing I heard is important about the suicide mission is that you don't die and have to reload. The squaddie who's icon on the bottom is on the right side, is going to drop and Shepard will catch them as the Reaper falls. If you die and have to reload your save, I guess those icons switch. The person I choose 2nd usually falls, and that same person is the one that pulls Shepard up during the epic leap.



Just speculation though.

Thank you. I got a gallery over at Deviantart, all Garrus fans are very welcome to visit it. It have a serious lack of Garrus and turians though, but I intend to do something about that.

I just knew someone would give the ugly cat a Garrus makeover.

For the Garrus romance, I like The Fear by Travis - I think it describes their feelings for each other before going through the Relay and the uncertainty about the outcome.

Love it.   I don't think it would work on just anyone... especially not Jacob.

P.S. Just occurred to me that the song Maybe from Fallout 3 works well for the Kaidan-Garrus-Shepard situation (or your Shepard's love LIs from ME1 and 2). It fits for all characters' p.o.v.s too and I love the song.
