I always take him and Mordin to the human Reaper. I only picked Jack once to see if Garrus would catch Shepard. And he did.

Maybe the Grunt-Miranda switchup happens because Miranda cares more about people than Grunt does? (no offense for Grunt fans, of course). I mean, Grunt would probably be more concentrated on shooting...well, everything that moves rather than saving people.

Yeah, the LI theory doesn't work. I've caught both Garrus and Grunt (Grunt.. really? FemShep is tough, but come on... a friggin krogan?!). But I'm happy I caught Garrus during my first SM, because that certainly added to the tension. NOOOOOOOOOO GARRUUUUUUS!

Poor Mordin. xD Well, if "wishful thinking romances" were an option...

Shepard: *jumps from the platform and is caught by... Saren!* You're alive!  We could have used your help against that human Reaper though.
Saren: Sorry, TIM wanted to see if you could do it on your own. Then he resurrected me as your "priiize." *turian finger quotes* I don't get the joke, Shepard.

Maybe someday we'll figure out how to make Shepard catch people. Or if it really is random, I might be playing the human Reaper battle more than the rest of the game.

From my own experience, whomever is in the second slot was the one who fell and picked me up. However, this could just be luck or something. Like Xsauce said, it's not always the LI.

Three things:



1. Lame glitch! I was on the Z-Ward when that ad pops up that mentions your LI...except they said Thane and not Garrus. Eh? It's not like I flirted with Thane and then dumped him either. And Garrus was with my party at the time. "Uh, Shepard...what did she mean by 'the next time you're out with Krios?"



2. So a few coworkers come by today and ask me to help with some calibrations on something I haven't done in two years. No one else apparently knew how to calibrate the pipettes, and the instrument wasn't talking to the laptop.



"It's not working!"



"Have you reset the laptop? No one has touche this laptop in a year."



"...oh..."



I need a Garrus desktop for the office computer now.



3. Rewatched He's Not That Into You. Seriously, BK, would have been prefered over Kevin Connolly. Hell, even Garrus even though it's a romantic comedy. I must have something against short men.

Thane WAS your 3rd party member, right? If yes, it's not a glitch: that ad doesn't actually mention a romanced LI, it mentions any potential LI that's in your left party slot (I *think* it's the left one). So if you have both Garrus and Thane with you, but Thane is in the left party slot, the ad will pick up on him, even though you might have romanced Garrus. Works the same for any other combination of LIs. And Samara also counts, oddly enough.

And make sure Garrus didn't put a humidifier in Life Support.

There should be a guide for that. xD A complete suicide mission guide for how to save, kill, and catch all of the squadmates, with requirements for Paragon/Renegade dialogue as an added bonus. I think there is a thread somewhere about saving and killing any combination of squadmates though...

I could be late to the party on this one, but I was just catching up with my Dev art (omg, 5 days of no net because our router died Friday, we were camping until Monday, and AAAAAAAHG!) *cough* er... where was I? Oh right...

On another note, since I had no net for a few days after getting back from camping... I made a new Shepard. I'm trying a Paragon Sentinel... she's going to get really emo... and not romance Garrus.. This particular Shepard has friend zoned Gar, and I have yet to decide whether she's going to pine over Kaiden or possibly get it on with Thane or Jacob. Still up in the air.

Tons of great art! Silentstephi - I loooove the seXAY kisses art. I would favorite, but I always forget my Deviantart signin, and don't feel like creating yet another new one right now. Will have to bookmark it though.

And I definitely think your emo Shep should romance Thane. I mean... that would be just so emo, don't ya think? One of my current games is a Thane romance right now (Infiltrator Paragade who may lean more toward Ren eventually), but it's taking me forever to get through since I went back and started yet another ME1 game.
