This is so much more fun than drawing with pencils and paper :P. This actually gets my hopes up for my super secret project...

Now that's a great Garrus! Thanks for sharing it. Now I'm realy curious about that super secret project.

Council: I think he'd actually be in favour of taking the fight to Sovereign ASAP, ie. sending the human fleet in ASAP, which just happens to coincide with saving the Council. It's also sacrificing the few (some human ships) to save the many (the rest of the damn galaxy).

I get into my rant mode about this stupid battle waaaay too easily. :P

The delay in opening the Ward arms is one aspect of this decision that irks me. Once reinforcements arrive, you don't have them wait by the sidelines watching others on the field get pummeled. So yes, open the relay right away, send the Fleet in, shoot at the Geth on your way Sovereign on the Presidium tower. Especially if it's played as the Geth directly in the middle between the Alliance ships and Sovereign -- of course you have to shoot at the Geth to reach your target.

But I don't see the battle actually working that way. While opening the Ward arms, Shepard would simultaneously be opening the relays. The only way the Alliance ships should have gone for the Destiny Ascension is by diverting part of their forces from attacking Sovereign. That's the only way Shepard's decision has any weight and consequence behind it.

But as it plays out, the cutscene is exactly the same regardless of your decision. You don't see the sacrifice the Alliance had to make to save the Destiny Ascension (though you're told about it later in ME2) and you see that Sovereign goes down just as easily either way. This makes the decision solely about roleplaying Shepard: of course no one going the paragon route will sacrifice the Destiny Ascension if they see how well the outcome turned out in comparison to the neutral/renegade option.

Somehow I've gotten on this same topic in two different character support threads. Like I said in the other one, going into detail about the Battle of the Citadel just makes me wish I could play Homeworld again. The first time I played the final space battle of that game, the only way I could survive was extremely desperate kamikaze attacks because I got flanked from below. Three dimensional battles are awesome.

It's not so much that I've never done it...It's that I've never seen a Charm/Intimidate option with either Kaidan or Ashley. Hmm. Maybe it pops up further on in the convo tree, if you pick the right starting option.

I believe the Charm/Intimidate option doesn't show up until you choose a particular conversation path. For instance, if you're picking paragon decisions during your conversation with Kaidan, you never see the Charm/Intimidate pop up for the renegading conversation. But if you choose a renegade response, the next part of the conversation will have the Charm/Intimidate pop up.

From what I heard who catches who is random. But from my own experience whoever was in the second slot was the one who slipped and the one who caught Shepard, but maybe I was just lucky.

Nah, you can catch one squaddie and then get caught by the other one. It's not always the same person.

Yeah, one time my Shepard got her arm torn out of her socket trying to catch Grunt. You'd think the stupid krogan would return the favor, but Mordin pulled her up into the ship.

The special effects on this vid get a bit much at times, but the song is great:

(I don't trust the forums not to act stupid around me anymore.)

Alright, well you'll have to pardon me not having an archive of hundreds of Garrus photos, but in the end I think it turned out well anyways.

@battlechantress: That video was pretty awesome, but I have to agree with you. The effects were a little over the top. Great song, but I felt like I was tripping out for most of it.

Cery, I'm jealous. That looks AWESOME. I've been working on this silly comic (which isn't even Garrus related! T.T) for like 4 hours now... and I'm still on panel 1. /facepalm

2 more to go.

-.-

(At least the follow up comic IS Garrus related... kinda. O.O)
