I hear ya on the Jacob thing. I haven't tried it, and I'm not sure I want to or ever will. I've seen vids of it, and I already know the conversations with him in the armory are cringeworthy. Just can't go through with it!

Very nice vid BTW! I wasn't feeling it with the music at first, but then I started listening to the lyrics, and got chills by the end.

I really like the song too.  Though, not necessarily for my Shep/Garrus head cannon, but Amy Lee makes my heart flutter.  /swoons

lol, I can't believe it didn't take that much time. I have to say, I already made the biggest part of the background yesterday with my mouse, and then figured I could never draw Garrus without a tablet... didn't think I'd spend money on that today, lol.

Hey guys, i'm back. You won't believe what my sensei made me do to practice for a tournament.

And also i've been thinking about making a character to post on Cerberus Daily News, i've seen their forum, and it actually looks pretty fun to role play a character you made up and pretend your living in the galactic community.

Enough about me, hows everyone doing?

Yeah, he convinced me to go to the tournament this week, and in my private lesson he made me do my form 5 times fast, and then jump rope for 2 minutes straight, and then do my form 5 more times fast, and then spar 6 different people for 2 minutes, and then do my form again, and then he made me hold a 70 pound wavemaster (which is kind of like a punching or kicking bag) and do my form again with just foot movements.



So yeah, i had a pleasant night yesterday. And it seems like i might of missed out for the last 10 pages =/

Just trying to talk to Jacob on my first playthrough (wasn't even trying to romance him) made me go "Ewww!" BioWare really dropped the ball on that one. On the one hand, it's nice that he asks how you're doing (eventually), but everything else... uh, NO. The closest I ever come to putting up with his "romance" is from that hilarious Jacob/Harbinger video. That's about all I need to know of it right there (of course, I'm the same person that can't even *look* at screenies of Garrus' rejection scene, never mind Youtube it. I could barely sit through reading the transcripts as it was).

Song for fem Shep/Garrus (yeah, I love music, sorry): "Touched" by VAST. Works best with stuff exploding around them, true, but it's a great song (warning: this video hasn't aged well and is not so great).



Also a good little-known number: "You", also by VAST. Never really warmed up to how the song is actually sung, but the line "Your dress looks good on you, my love" reminds me of Garrus complimenting Shep on her hair and waist.



And there's this piece, which I admit to dancing around in my living room to upon occasion (Ray LaMontagne's "Hold You in My Arms").  Slightly different than the actual studio version, but I think it still works:

Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to try making a video to one of these songs. As it is, I have some serious re-writing I need to get done on one of my rare days off.

Yes, it's a little sad that by the time I'll have finished with ME2, I'll have saves for every romance (including Kaiden and Ashley) except Jacob. I just...can't.

(And I also can't try the rejection lines, even for science. I'm a bit of a softy...I don't like being deliberately mean. And besides...why would anyone lead him on and then knock him back? He's too much of a sweetie!)

Loving the last 5 or 6 pages of Garrus discussion! As to the best romance choice for a total Renegade - I say Garrus too! He really is a win-win-win for any personality type. For a Paragon, it's kind of like a true love that was always right in front of you type-thing. For a Renegade, well Garrus has Renegade tendencies himself, so he's a match that way. But he is also very receptive to whatever it is Shepard may be feeling. If she's a bad girl, he plays along, joking and encouraging. If she's a good girl, he ends up learning from her saintly ways. For Paragades, he's there for her too, either way

I like that he has hotheaded tendencies too. It's part of who he is - a part of his complex whole that we all love so much. And I love when he does hotheaded things, and Shepard calls him out on it making him realize it... it's just so cute when he can admit his mistakes. Kinda like what I was saying above about a Paragon Shep romancing him.

So, I could probably come up with a list of flaws in Garrus, but they are all part of what makes him special. It's hard to imagine if BW made him any other way - I'm not sure I would like him as much.
