Actually, Mordin does say to Shepard something about going back to studying cellular reproduction, because it's easier and "requires less alcohol and mood music." I bet he gave Garrus advice (since he knows about Shep and Garrus at that point anyway) and suggested he bring alcohol (specifically, wine). And the Flux music? Probably also Mordin's not-so-good idea. :P

THAT I can completely believe.

Well, Mordin talked about 'mood music'. I don't know what kind of 'mood' Garrus was thinking of. Maybe he watched too much pr0n, lol.

Still, he should have danced to it.

@ Kim - always do all the side quests. Even the dull collecting ones in ME1. And even the ones I don't need to do because I've reached my level cap in ME2. I just have this compulsion.

Cerryd - you just made me LOL with that drawing.

Right, I'm off on holiday for two weeks, so two weeks with no Garrus. Except the images in my head...

Heh, I always feel a little bad that Garrus actually can't drink the wine he brought you. The amino acid thing really is a pain!

Not sure that's true. Amino acids are the building blocks for proteins. Does wine have any protein in it?

If it were made from natural ingredients, then likely so.

Yes, logically it should be OK, but if you get drunk in Dark Star, the turian bartender says of the strong drink, "and if you're dextro-DNA like I am, it'll kill you." Hence my confusion!

So... I'm not sure why, but the forums are acting all sorts of stupid today for me. /sad panda

My husband is GLARING at me for the epic squee that just came out of my mouth after reading it. ^.^
I, too, can't stop smiling.  And his response makes sense, considering how many hours they spend a session, and having to dish out harsh sounds left and right (the ahem files come to mind) I can imagine it'd make you go home hoarse.

BK answering your questions!? That's awesome!

You know, if there's anything I'd ever want to ask a celebrity, it would have to be about how they feel about all the fanfiction and fanart about the characters they portray. I wonder what it's like...

By the way, this thread needs more cuteness:

My question:

How is voice acting different from just acting? Is it harder to VA or easier?

BK:

@Stephi - It's not easier or harder, just different, I'd say. Doing voice only gives a lot of freedom to play and have fun with the character, knowing the editors can select your best takes. One plus to voice acting is no time spent in wardrobe or hair/makeup. I've definitely come home hoarse from recording sessions, though, especially when recording battle sequences.

It's gonna be a slow night. Friday, everyone's out partying... or socializing. Oo

I asked:

So, recording was fun... what did you think of Garrus' lines to female Shepard? Complimenting her supportive waist and her good-looking hair... and other stuff. Did it make you chuckle? Because I think pretty much all of us laughed when we heard that.

BK said:

Mass Effect has brilliant writers, and yes many of the lines made me laugh. I'm not sure my own pickup lines would be any better, though...

I'm still radiating happiness over this. lol

Makes me a bit uncomfortable though. One day I'm uploading Garrus' ME1 ahems and another day he answers a question I asked. It's... weird. Let's just hope he never ever sees this thread LOL

This.  I don't know why, but I'm having a heck of a hard time getting into that game.  Of course, you all be distractin' me with your steamy Garrus art and whatnot. Posted Image (great thread over there BTW) Posted Image

I think that would be too OOC for Garrus to say, but if MaleShep said it to him, I think it would really work...extra points if Garrus just stares at him like "WTF??" LOLOL I would love it :D

@Cerry: The hoops we've put the fictional turian through... makes me blush. I hope he doesn't gander at this thread. I'd die from embarrassment. I think I would. -.-

This.  I don't know why, but I'm having a heck of a hard time getting into that game.

I had a similar problem getting into playing Dragon Age such that I complained about it being boring for 2/3rds of the game. (The fact my friend never told me I should stop playing it is testament to how well he knows me. :P) But then it suddenly clicked and I found myself quite enjoying the last stage of the game. I thought maybe it just took me awhile to really get into the groove of things. But when I immediately started up a second game... suddenly I was bored all over again.

Makes me think of the Penny Arcade comic where they discuss what it takes before you can really get into Final Fantasy XII.... the sad thing was that Gabe and Tycho later admitted that the other two in that comic were right. Hmm... so is going through 2/3rds of Dragon Age bored worth it for the final 1/3rd...

I know, I had a hard time too to get into DA:O. Going from 2185 to a medieval setting is just... difficult. I'm about to finish it for a second time, and already I'm skipping loads of dialogue. I finished ME2 more than 4 times and listened to every line. DA:O's story just doesn't grab me like ME's.

And it doesn't have enough Garrus.
