Was one of my favorite small Mass Effect roles, I love that little guy
"I am a biotic god!"-Volus
"chaaaaaarge......"-Shepard
Any other opinions or ideas about him?

My opinion is that the ball men should stick to banking and stop trying to attack things.

I think it's interesting that the Volus can use biotics. So far we've only seen Krogan (rare but powerful), human and asari biotics. I recall that the Quarians can't afford to make biotics like humanity, because their numbers are so few. I don't remember why the Turians and Salarians don't make biotics.
Edit: Oh yah, I guess Drell can use biotics, too. I keep forgetting Thane is biotic.

I thought the Turians had biotics. Doesn't Kaiden mention the instructor of that Biotic Academy was a Turian?

Ummm...that perticular Volus is under the influence of red sand...a drug which grants the user, when significantly high, the temporary ability to act as if he/she was a biotic without the need of an amp. Now, as far as i know, the drug only gives enough ability to the point of being able to spin a pencil around on a desk or flutter some papers around...but that along with the poisonus drugs that are in the immediate area of said Volus may possibly give him enough biotic power to put up a fight...not that i would know if he actually can as i havnt played a Renegade through that mission yet. With that said, im still unaware of any species yet un-named that has attained biotic prowess. Btb, reading the books does in-fact help with some plot points. ^^
Yes, though admitadly, it seems odd that we have never seen a turian biotic...though it seems semi-plausable that an 'instructor of biotics' may not actually need 'biotic' ability...would just need to know how to instruct properly...maybe...?Ender1221 wrote...

For being on high on red sand, I was surprised at how powerful he actually was. I thought the most one could do high was levitate some paper clips.
