As much as I don't like a new "WTF is with this Tali person" thread everyday I think it is acceptable to ask in the forum as opposed to in the Tali thread as you will get a "more" unbiased result here than in that thread. I can't speak on behalf of the other posters but I can say why I like Tali:

*Voice: Liz Sroka is amazing and shows a wide range of emotions throughout both games.

*Personality: Tali is both fierce and at times shy. She deeply cares for her people and can get a little frisky if crossed or insulted. Mordin and her both have the widest range of emotions shown, at least in my opinion, and thus come off as more realistic. She has a bit of youthful spunk which causes many to view her a little a sister.

*Loyalty: Garrus, Joker, Chakwas, and Tali were written as the characters most loyal to Shepard, at least in my opinion, and as such they seem like the closest friends he/her has. The will troll the galaxy together out of comradeship.

*Romance: Is done in a classic fairytale style, a young girl is saved and swept off her feet by Prince Charming who is willing to break societal norms to be with person he loves.

*Her appearance: She is strong where she needs to be. Nothing is really overdone sexually in her appearance.

I didn't know Tali could use indoctrination?

Edit:

Her accent is hot, that's my reason.

I think a lot like quarians in general. They have a great backstory and I had hoped for some more missions that involved the migrant fleet

Yay im so glad I read through the thread before posting! I hope you people didn't create something big here... last thing we need is to make a cutlass jack support thread. in fact we don't need anymore of any of them. but seems like we can't help ourselves.

Cutlass Jack is loyal to Shepard? What did Shepard do for him...? Display some wicked booty...?

On a sidenote, what's the name of Cutlass Jack's ship?

There are many people who wish to se Tali in Mass Effect 3 but what is it about her that makes people actually think she is exciting enough. I have never even remotely thought that Tali was any good as a character and the fact that I saw her in Mass Effect 2 surprised me a lot. Surely the other members of the squad in Mass Effect 1 and 2 are far more preferred then Tali? I am guessing that many are just supporting Tali just for the hell of it but can any one tell me whats so special about her that makes her stand out from the rest of the squad?

She is so sweet and innocent and when she says "I got better, I got you!" doesn't your heart just melt? Image IPB

The Toolbox.  Also the entirety of Mass Effect 3 is just a loyalty mission for Cutlass Jack.

Cutlass Jack as squadmate and Li for ME3 and beyond.

He needs his own series.

Only problem is that Cutlass Jack does not have a heart.

He just has another cutlass.

I'm not even going to look at the rest of the thread, but I'll answer you just from my own point of view, as someone who likes Tali but is not interested in romancing her:  Tali is the spunky, cute kid sister character to me.  I liked her from the time that I met her in ME1, even though I do agree in a small part with those who called her a walking quarian codex.  She was definitely developed as a character in ME2, and when she told my Shepard that she would share suit environments with me, I was like "aww" :).  So, not taking into account the forums at all, I hope Tali has a great ending to her story.  I'd like to see her as an Admiral in the Migrant Fleet, and I hope that she does get to have a home on her homeworld again.

Hmm.... So let me get this straight --> Cutlass Jack is the proposed gay/bi love interest of ME3, uses some sort of downloadable eyepatch, laser cutlass(es), and mass effect flintlocks, may or may not be crew on the Normandy 3, and apparently did something horrible to someone's space hamster?

... Sounds delicious ... Does he have a brother/sister/ or clone?!
