Hahaha I lol'd. And he has some good points, like the ammo thing, I was like whaaat happend here too. Also the paying for fuel to be able to explore the galaxy was a fail imo.. But to be honest I liked the planet scanning, it was a nice change of pace. Didn't miss the Mako part. I did miss the looting and gathering weapons and armor. Also I enjoyed the new hacking and rerouting minigames more. But I'm getting offtopic

Actually whoever approved the mission and wrote the story should be banned for it.  Not my fault it's packed full of racist overtones.  That's part of the reason it's so rediculous.  Read and process then respond.  Otherwise it's not even funny when you say stupid crap it's just tragic and sadImage IPB

Funny how you're the ONLY person who thinks there are racist overtones.

Last one for you before I go.

Common Black Stereotype - Black men don't stick around to be daddy - extremely popular stereotype

Historical fact - Black people were used as slaves

Game relavence - Token black guy on squad (yes just like the black kid named Token in southpark he's there for one reason only) is looking for his long lost father or signs of him and discovers long lost father made slaves out of a bunch of white people.

Hmm... let's think about this for a minute...  Yeah pretty messed up isn't it.  Even if you "choose" not to associate these unavoidable facts with the reality you embrace as yer own, you can't deny that this is a ****** poor excuse for a piece of writing.  Image IPB

I'm sorry couldn't get past the cliched tone to any of your actual points. Didn't the whole "really!?" thing die out like a year ago. It's not even ironically funny anymore like "talk to the hand." Perhaps you should stop trying to be Seth Meyers and/or Amy Poehler and either complain normally, or come up with your own shtick.

I like how you recognize right away that it's your problem and not mine.  Image IPB

Really though grow up,  If in your world how people communicate is more important than what they communicate, you have no business commenting on anything for any reason because your opinion is a waste of micro amp discharge and I coulda spent those callories on something valuable like taking a crap and contemplating why a dry turd feels like an ocean liner but vanishes down the tube preflush, but a wet one fills the bowl with what appears to be beef stew and can't be flushed without several attempts...

Wait what?  It's required to have minorities in games/movies now?  Did you really just type this and send it like it's ok or even remotely reasonable?  You do realise that is quite possibley the most racist thing anyone has posted on a forum since the mid 90's right?

As hilarious as it is to read this crap I gotta go.  Seriously though wow.  You made typing that so worth it.  The most unbelievabley racist crap ever and you don't even know why.  Beautiful.

9 10 12 13 14 have valid points.

Replacing the mako with a time-consuming metagame that is compulsory is not cool and no way of trading resources or buying them for example on Illium, the planet where you can supposedly buy anything.

We're sponsored by Cerberus who's got billions of credits and we have to buy fuel for the ship, schematics and probes ourselves while getting nickels and dimes (it is small change compared to what they spent on bringing you back) for missions?

Ammo while not a big problem but it doesn't make any sense since it's been explained in ME1 why you don't need it.

You can only find upgrades at a specific location, if that is a 1-time mission and you miss it you're screwed...

I agree on some points, but there's nothing to do really but hope they think about game mechanics more carefully in the future. The game isn't all that long if you don't count the whole scavenger-hunt for resources time-sink they implemented that effectively reduce the replay-value, ME2 is a step back, I agree.

1a. The old Council is in complete denial, heck even when Soveriegn/Nazara attacked they probably didn't believe their eyes and recieved a lot of shock. The realization that Shepard was right about a race of giant sentient machines who come around about 50k years to basically reape the universe can really turn everything a person believed upside down. Even Udina doesn't believe you despite all the crap you've done. In the end, I think this just shows how "human" the Council races are.

1b. As for the new Human lead Council, they are aliens who believe that Shepard will always put humanity before the galaxy, and they don't want to associate themselves with him, I don't think that is unusual. Know plenty of folks who don't like associating themselves with people they considered "dangerous" to their own health.

2.
You are right here at least on the dancing. It was somewhat stupid and
honestly wished they did something more with it, like a mini-game dance
off against someone! But I don't think anyone should really get fired
because it is amusing watching Shepard dance like an idiot[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

3.Dark Energy speeding up the age of a star to where it's collasping is questionable. But at the same time it is a plot device that will most likely tie into ME3. Also, it's a science ficition game... Think of Jason X... Humanity terraformed Mars... nano-machines turning Jason intoa freakin invincible robot killer... A space ship goes through a freakin space station and comes out relatively unscratched while the space station blows up... Yeah, it's science fiction and not everything has to make sense.

4. Zaeed... What is your beef with him? I likeZaeed, he's a cool character. Plus his side story is pretty interesting. Why is it so hard to believe that he is a co-founder of theBlue Suns? It gives you a lot of background info on the group and plus it is a SIDE QUEST. You don't have to do it.

5. Why does Thane have no business in ME? Why is he not tied into the story? Last I checked Shepard was going for the best of the best, and Thane is withouta doubt the best Assassin at the time of ME2. His story ties into the game pretty well too, as I always wondered if helping Nassana in the long run was the wise thing or if I should've done something against her. We got the answer in ME2.

6. Samara... She's a Justicar... So of course there should NOT be any romance option with her. She's sworn off having personal relationships as that would get in the way of her duty as a Justicar. And in order to gain her for siding with you, you gotta basically get the information she wants to find Morinth. And her loyalty quest... That's a SIDE QUEST, you don't gotta do it.

7.Why is that hard to believe? You know how many people Shepard has probably pissed off when he was a Spectre? And now that he's working with Cerberus, he's pissed off even more people! He's probably got a bounty on his head in many systems outside of Citadel Space (and maybe afew inside too). He would've made BANK off of Shepard, probably more than Pergatory and the majority of it's prisoners were worth all together. So yeah, it is pretty believable that he'd pull something off if it's worth the cost.

8. Ok, I give you that Conrad is probablythe most annoying guy in the game. But hey, messing around with him again was fun. I doubt many people can deny they felt good after shooting him in the foot. And it was funny seeing him act like he was all that only to get shown how little he really is.

9. Planet Scanning is tedious, and I think they could've made it a bit more fun. But I personally have no issues with it as it is a nice cool down from the game. Wish we could've found some interesting stuff like more prothean data disks that could've had some kind of mini-game to get someinformation and thusly learn more about them. And like many others, wished I could sell resources for money.

10. It makes sense. Shepard isn't part of the Alliance anymore. He's in a private organization, so of course he'd have to pay money for fuel and probes. Sure it is annoying, but it isn't expensive and if you get even at least1/2 the extra credits from the missions, you have more than enough to buy all the upgrades AND the fuel/probes to visit every system. At leastyou only use fuel traveling through the nebula's.

11. I don't know about you, but I really liked doing those semi-loyalty missions in ME1. We all got a lot of background information on Wrex and Garrus, and an interesting chat with Tali. Loyalty missions help us get closer and know the characters more. Really you only need to do like 2 loyalty missions to survive the game. Honestly, if you don't like doing the loyalty missions, don't do it. And FYI, they are SIDE QUESTS, don't got to do it and each don't have anything to do with the main story except you gain more background info on the character, and you gain their loyalty overall which helps to improve your odds of survival... So yeah, they do sorta tie into the story all together.

12. It's not really ammo. They basically keep the gun cool. I don't know about you, but I got so freakin annoyed in ME1 when overload was used on me. This basically nullifies it. Besides, I'd rather look for ammo than sit and wait like ten minutes for my gun to cool off.

13. They didn't finish the Hammerhead in time for release. And they probably had EA on them for getting the game out on time. It will come out eventually, probably within the next few months. At least they can do DLC's, otherwise we'd probably have to wait another year before ME2 would've come out.

14. I don't know about you, but the ship is technicallya stock ship made so you can replace certain parts. Garrus probably hassome connections with some pretty high folks in the Turian armed forces, so it can be understandable for him to get the Thanix Cannon plans. Tali is a freakin mechanical genius even among the Quarians, plusif you actually pay attention her shields aren't that much of an upgrade, they add a little bit more defense to attacks that are slow, ifit's a drawn out battle it doesn't help much. Really those are the onlytwo major ship upgrades that help you in the final battle. And even then, they don't actually give you THAT much of an advantage unless you get the drop on your enemy. Plus they are fighting Collectors, not Reapers, so who knows if those upgrades will be any use. But they are useful for the moment.

15. Ok honestly that is just plain raciest. Jacob knew his father, he went off on a deep space exploration mission when Jacob was 13, and the ship crashed when he was 16. So he knew who his father was, and he had buried the hatchet. As for the reverse racism thing, conserving the food for senior officers would haveprobably been what most people would have done. He and the other officers let the power they had over their fellow crew members go to their heads. And as he said, in the end he ended up with the power over the mechs. He wasn't fit for command and he just ended up having the most power after their was a fight between him and the other senior officers. So I don't see this situation being any sort of reverse racism, as it could have easily happened if Jacob was white.

All in all, most of your argument is based purely on perspective. You bring up interesting points like the dancing and the planet scanning. But again, it's just prospective... Except for 15, thats just down right raciest and stereotypical.

That was the point about 15.  It's like a little racist kid wrote it.  "Hmm what does a black guy want?  Oh yeah to find his dad.  Hmm what could his dad been up to?  Oh yeah herding a bunch of white slaves...."  Do you get it?  I know it's a complex idea but does that help you make sense of it?  It's like a racist wrote it and subconciously related his/her racism into the story...  I find it hilarious anyway.   Image IPB

This actually happens to be the only reason I included it because my roomate Kenyata (yeah it's a girl's name and I make fun of him all the time for it) thought it was and I quote "some reverse racist **** right there".  Image IPB

Oh I also call him "The Darkness" cause he's so dark skinned it's like he draws in the light around him... Swear to whatever holy things you believe in this dude can dim a room.  (Actually was his GF started sayin it but far be it from me not to harass the crap out of him for it)  But yeah even that is less racist than the retard who said "It's required to have minorities in games and movies now".
