Comprehensive Guide to all things without sense in ME2

Now I read throughj the first 7 or so pages of the thread and yeah it was funny to begin with but it started to degenerate after around page 4. In your OP you do make a couple of decent points but most of it is just drivel, especially your suggestion that Jacob's loyalty mission has racist undertones. It doesn't if you actually listen to the dialogue that Shep has wioth Jacob before deciding to go on the mission Jacob tells you he's curious as to wether his father is still alive.
He knew his father before hand so he wasn't just a delinquent father as you obviously think. Jacob hasn't spoken to the man in 13 years but he knew his father beforehand.
Anyway I respect your right to an opinion but that works both ways. While I don't agree with your opinion it doesn't mean that you're right or even that I'm right, what it means is that you have an opinion and I have an opinion. I'll respect yours as long as you respect mine.

Oh NOW, after putting all that effort into injecting yer own imagination into everything I wrote in order to demonize it and invalidate any hidden value contained within, NOW you want to ask what I meant when I said something.
Nevermind my opinion of you. What was your point?
Google "Begging the Question" then google "context" then take a few courses in "communication". Then you can go back over your "responces" and see what you did wrong. Why it was wrong AND at the same time figure out why there is no valid reason to acknowledge anything you said.

See you post this like you understand it but then everything else is exactly the opposite of this. Instead of injecting your own thoughts and ideas you attempt to invalidate mine and replace them with yours, which is far from the purpose of forums and this thread more specifically.
In short your opinion of my opinions is not important. If you have your own that's wonderful but they have nothing to do with mine.

But I got the highest arc ..... Oh and while we're on the irony bandwagon all this pissing about "forcing opinions" and "injecting imagination" is directly related to the difference between making sense and having to make sense. But yeah irony bandwagon is ironic... or whatever.Nallski wrote...
The mere fact that this thread is even still going is ironic beyond words. At this point it has become a pissing contest, have fun boys.

I assure you it is far deeper than that!
Actually no, its far shallower

Let me just throw out another example of lazy writing in ME2. At some point you ask someone (I forget who) why everyone doesn't have a quantum entaglement communication device, and the one of the reasons given is something along the lines of "you'd have to have a pair for every one to connect to everyone else." Seriously (!!!), do the writers not know what a telephone exchange or a network router is?
I just talked to EDI right now. The reason given was that the amount of information it could transmit was much much much much lower than conventional communication devices for the same price since it can only transmit a quantum bit of information.
And, as I recall, the first game invented biotics which is essentially "space magic" by any other name.

So why is it you that apparently has communication problems with me? Why is no-one else having this issue?ZennExile wrote...

And sir, I know what 'begging the question' is and I should like you to demonstrate where I used my conclusion as a premise in any of my posts.
So if you don't care about people responding to your opinions, then why did you start up a discussion thread? Then you can go back over your "responces" and see what you did wrong. Why it was wrong AND at the same time figure out why there is no valid reason to acknowledge anything you said.

You must've known that when you started this thread up people would criticise your claims, respond to your questions and perhaps go further with their own analysis. Why does this surprise you? All you're telling me with your backward text is that you are not interested in dealing with criticism to your ideas. That you are not interested in reading any responses to your claims and perhaps understanding where other people are coming from. Instead you sit there, making flippant remarks towards people and complaining that other people are forcing their opinion down your neck.
In short, you are baiting people. At length, I don't specifically care if you are not interested in evaluating your own position. I simply responded, as I have every right to do to your initial post. Specifically your post on Jacob. I could not care less whether you disagree with my doing so or not, I have the right to.
Nonetheless though, you've basically admitted that you don't have a counter-argument or a decent counter-response - so you resort to stupid word games, or petulant comments or if those don't seem to work, complain that everyone is 'forcing their opinion' on you.

I did agree with some of what you said but its not always what you say but how you say it. I think your op didn't get you off to the best start. Among other points you make I also dislike Jacob's loyalty mission..besides the fact that the black guy decides he wants to turn everyone into a bunch of slaves, if anyone should know better he should. I also didn't like him pimpin' out the female crew to the other officers before he killed them. Cause you know how black guys are........pimpin' ain't easy!

This doesn't even make sense. Of course he is going to respond and possibly criticise your opinions. You started this thread. Of course he is going to inject his own thoughts and perspective on things into the topic. It is him who is saying it. Would you rather he respond with your opinion? What a cheap remark.ZennExile wrote...

You obviously have no idea how human interaction works. You've said this thread is about how many things in ME2 do not make sense without first injecting your own imagination into it. People have criticised some of the things that you listed in your original post as examples of this. So what?
What a shame you don't get to choose your answers. In short your opinion of my opinions is not important. If you have your own that's wonderful but they have nothing to do with mine.

And yeah Jacob's loyalty mission was just... I don't get how it go approved. Damn near everyone I know woulda looked at that story board and went ..."You sure you wanna make the only black guy look for his long lost dad and find him pimpin a bunch of white slaves? Yer sure?"
Just kinda odd it made it past even the first meeting.

People are. I did. I directly responded to your original post until you decided to brush it off and chastise it because it didn't fit into your pointless rigid standards of how you think the thread ought to be conducted. You instead decided to make childish comments and insult others.TO DISCUSSS THE TOPIC
Maybe you should stick to the topic instead of running around with the goalposts on what this thread is.
You haven't 'handled' anything rather you've ignored it. I don't know what definition of handling you're going by but it obviously has nothing to do with actually responding to what people say.Any other brain busters you wanna throw my way? I'll handle the heavy stuff for ya.
Maybe if you didn't cut out everything but one of the first lines of my post you would have seen that I don't care if you don't think your crappy ideas need my approval. I am merely interacting in a discussion thread. I responded in particular to your complaints regarding Jacob's loyalty mission and you simply whined about it.Really though if you can't get past the fact that MY IDEAS don't need your approval yer not worth responding to.
That's up to you. However it is entirely inkeeping with the context of the thread.
You open a can of worms and flail around pathetically at the results. If you don't like people addressing your ideas get out of this thread. I will continue to respond to your claims. If you don't care about anyone else's viewpoints, then why at all do you imagine people should treat your perspective with any grain of respect or a semblance of balance? As I've said many times to many different people (several here in this thread) My ideas belong to me. Not to you. And I don't care what you think about them. They are mine. Get over it.
That is the topic that you've decreed (although only much later on in the thread). You only gave out a list in your original post which detailed things you thought made no sense in Mass Effect 2. People disagreed with some of them.Topic of discussion = things that don't make sense in ME2 without the player having to imagine how it "could possibley mayeb might make sense if you flip it over and play it backwards satan tells you to crap in you pants..."
Irrespectively, you don't get to choose your replies.

Yeah, I have to agree with you 100% on this one. Several people were asleep at the wheel on this. One writer wrote it but it had to go through several people to be approved. Somebody should have caught it.....pretty disappointing.

You even typed out exactly why yer not worth responding to. " I directly responded to your original post " Instead of focusing on the topic you "attacked" my opinions by trying to first invalidate them and then replace them with your own.
Had you instead just offered your own ideas then I'm sure several people would have responded to you and pet yer widdle head for being a good good boy. But you didn't So they didn't. Cause meet effect. Are we getting too deep for you yet I don't want to overwhelm you with all this rational dialogue that isn't born purely of your imagination and expelled like so much fieces onto the text box.

Sorry, he's not the only one critical of that aspect of the game. I'm on my 3rd playthrough of this game and I love it. That doesn't mean that I loved the loyalty quest for Jacob. Whether you agree with the nature of his posts or not he is not alone in his criticism of this. Doesn't take much imagination from me not to like it for the reasons I already posted.
