...Actually gave my Adept an AR on the Collector's ship for this very reason.

Are the cutscenes pre-rendered? Or is it just a static declaration somewhere in game's guts that dictate what gun he uses?
Well, he feels the need to do this during the cutscenes, because he forgets how to use his biotics.
