hmmm....i see what you're saying. i guess it just comes down to comfort. just because someone is your best friend doesn't mean you are comfortable giving hugs and kisses and stuff. i'm not a big hugger or kisser outside of my wife and kids. i hate doing it when relatives come over or family friends, but it's like a law in my family/friends that men and women kiss and women and women kiss when they see each other. personally, i'd rather say hello and shake hands.DragonDefender wrote...

that's not true. it's cultural. christianity is all over the world, but certain regions of the world, regardless of religion, are more open than others. it is neither right or wrong either way.Statulos wrote...

Not true? So how come that homosexuality and bisexuality; something that was commonly accepted and often times irrelevant in the Roman Republic and the Greek Polis was suddenly considered an aberration to nature and a direct attack to "human´s nature"?bzombo wrote...

Maybe becase people like the Fathers of the Church (and especially Saint Agustine) started considering it monstrous?

Imagine talking to a hot girl and it is going someone where and out of nowhere her mom come up and say's I am glad you two get along so well. So and so meet your first cousin so and so. But in the end best friend I have ever had.
I rarelt blush but I did at that moment.

then why are there people of all religions who are both okay with and against gays? it is cultural. generalizations like this drive me nuts, and it has nothing to do with what i believe. the entire western world is not against gay people, just like the entire eastern world is not for it.Statulos wrote...

No, madame...A Godak moment!
(Yes, that is the origin of my name. I was using "Godak" as a screen-name when I was ten-ish, and my friend was all "Godak? What the heck?" and I was all "Yeah, Godak! Like the crappy camera company!" and he was all like "No, that's Kodak! Godak sounds like a Dragonball Z name!" At the time, I loved DBZ, so the name just kind of stuck.)

Ok so :
I'm got other opinions about a God (There's why i dont believe to him)
And i got other opinions about organized religions (That's why i think, they are sow panic)
You can tell me i'm paranoic, but organized relligions do many of bad things in history, for example :
Inquisition and they decision to stop the science because "Religion and science can't go in pair"

I have faith, its way different than organized religion. Hypocrisy is a rampant problem with religious functions, that's why I speak to God, ask for strength to get through the day, sometimes just talk it out, I'm sure some would like this opportunity to call me crazy, but you dont make it through as many close calls as I have been through in the Army to deny that there was someone looking out for me. I'm not saying a higher power chooses a side in a war or conflict, but I believe some of us are saved or protected for a reason, what reason I was spared is beyond me, but again I have faith.

However inner religion of what an individual believes is one of the strongest virtues anyone can hold close.
