I was just gloating over my new PC and I began to wonder what current games have the highest sytem requirements.

I googled it (of course) but the latest information I could find was from April of 2008.  I have been playing console (xbox360) games for the last couple of years, and haven't really had a decent PC until now, so I am totally out of the loop when it comes to this stuff.

I know Crysis was high-end when it was released, but I looked at the recommend specs for it and it doesn't seem that high anymore.  So, does anyone have any idea?

My system:

Intel Core 2 Quad (2.66 GHz, 6mb cache)
6Gb RAM
GeForce GT220 with 1024 RAM
HDD 640Gb ATA2 7200rpm
Vista 64bit with free Win7 upgrade

Well, I haven't been playing many new games recently, but here a reviewer says Crysis: Warhead is the most demanding game out there thus far.

*sigh* well thanks. I looked at that article and then went and tried to decipher the wikipedia articles about the various nvidia graphics cards. It's less than clear what any of it means. I get the gist that I wouldn't be able to run Crysis: Warhead on high settings (or even close), and also that 95% of people would not be able to either. Oh well, I don't have $3500 to spend on a computer. Hopefully I will be able to run DAO on high settings and I'll be happy.

edited to add: not gloating anymore.

I just give mine to my son and he does whatever computer guys do and it comes back better but when I do decide to get a new one I will look for the hardest game out there and make them play it and thats the one I will buy.

lol yeah. I am the computer guy in my family unfortunately. Anyway, got the gts 250 and a new power supply on the way, so I am golden. Farewell warranty, I hardly knew thee.
