You know why?

It has NO Tali!

So which BioWare game to you people think is better as far as character writing goes? Although the Mass Effect cast does have a few saving graces, I believe Dragon Age is leaps ahead in this regard.

Dragon Age has a handful of characters I just cant stand. Alistair and Morrigan top that list. Both annoy the **** out of me. Only character I prolly didnt like in ME was Kaiden.

But DAO has Oghren, who is possibly the most annoying character Bioware has ever created

actually, hold on. that honor may belong to HK-47. still building a consensus

I hated that I had to bring Alistair everywhere as he was plot-heavy and a whiner.

Morrigan was a pain as you could do nothing right.

Oghren was my favourite character :) :) :)

Getting Sten's loyalty in my 2nd playtrough when I didn't mess up was the best bit.

I'm not one of the posters here who has an absolute favorite character, and I still feel compelled to say the following:

You'll get over it.

they're both pretty even. both have characters you feel for and like and both have characters you want to boot in the face.(i.e. Kaiden and Wynne)

Alistair is far more annoying then Oghren. Even after you harden him he still a little baby.

Your opinion =/= fact.

I love Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but I'm far more a sci-fi fan than a fantasy fan thus why ME wins out for me. But that isn't true for everyone.

Dragon Age honestly could have used some Tali.

He's not the best of the bunch but he's still better than most of the ME cast.

www.youtube.com/watch

Just check out he's speech at 0.26, he says those things if he's fully loyal. If that doesn't move you then you have no heart.

But you can get Alistair killed in an utterly disgraceful and shameful way. I don't think it's possible to kill Oghren, is it?

Jacob is probably my least favorite character in ME2. that being said i can think of several Dragon Age characters i like a LOT less.

Tali is a great character. you're simply letting your anti-tali-fan rage cloud your judgement i presume. that and trying to create a scene which is being done by far too many people today, and yesterday, and the day before and so on.

 dragon age's characters were made to annoy the hell out of you, every single one is designed to ****** off the player.

morrigan= apathetic b*tch

sten= no.

alistair= annoying comic 'relief'

leliana= overly-zealous religious dolt

ohgren= bland, drunk, and insulting you contantly

dog= worthless

zevrahn= spanish pretty boy

wynee= old geezer who instead of being the mentor lets the player offer points of view she somehow never considered.

apart from jack and jacob, ME2's crew at least make an attempt to be tolerable.

I like DAO and Mass Effect for different reasons. They are two different approaches to the RPG genre and I like them each.

Though I think each game could borrow elements from the other and be better off for it.

Mass Effect could use more character interaction between your members like in DAO. INstead of just with Shepard.

Also, DAO could use more dynamic cameras and movements during conversations, instead of being so stiff. Also...give my character a god damn voice.

When it comes to inter-character interaction, DAO wins. In ME2, particularly, the characters rarely interact with one another.

DAO is cool, and has its place, but I liked the ME universe better. Sci-fi is probably more my cup of tea. DAO feels a little uninspired in places.

Sure, HK-47 is funny if meatbags this and meatbags that tickles you. And don't get me started on Oghren's fart jokes.

Mordin so far beyond any Bioware character to date that he's in a league of his own.
