Oghren is far from my favorite, but the story of him losing a wrestling match to a roast was one of the funniest bits in the game.

Alistair is far more annoying then Oghren. Even after you harden him he still a little baby.

But you can get Alistair killed in an utterly disgraceful and shameful way. I don't think it's possible to kill Oghren, is it?

True that he can die and he does in all playthroughs. I at least let him die with a little honor for how much I hate him. He can take the last stab haha.

Here I thought this was going to be a legitimate thread about DA vs ME 2.



But alas its not



Also I like DA but I prefer ME 2 because it is better made from a technical standpoint. And the skills seem to work better than they do in DA. And while ME is similar to Star Trek, DA is outrageously like LOTR in some areas. Probably feel this way because I like LOTR and hate most of Star Trek.

And to answer your question, I prefer the Mass Effect characters. They always have funny dialogue and interesting stories. I still Like the Dragon Age characters though (Alistair, Morgen, and Sten are awesome)

I feel compelled to post this again. It's an example of what it is that made the DA characters so well written.

It was moments like these that made the DA cast really matter on an emotional level, ME had a few moments that attempted the same thing but succeeded to a much lesser degree, Mordin's conversation about his nephew was one of them.

And if you don't think the OP is a troll:
a) The topic title is 'DA rules, ME 2 suxs!' in a nutshell in the ME2 discussion area.
The original post is less than 50 words.
c) The original post does not really explain the OPs position beyond a hate for Tali (no details on the character cast, gameplay, story, etc, just a hate comment).

I like both actually. I liked Allistair in DAO and I liked Mordin in ME2. Some of my favorite DAO moments were when Allistair got pissed off (usually at Morigan) and went from nice guy to jerk.

Wow, all the folks that say they like Dragon Age better because of no Tail just seem extremely lame. I like both games, and the banter between characters in DA:O is better IMHO, but I enjoyed playing ME2 more.

well mass effect has my two favorit characters, thane and tali. but overall dragon age has a better group. like i always had a strong feelings about peole in dragon age, in mass effect i liked tali thane and garrus. the rest were ok or good sometimes

I love them both, I don't see why it has to be a competition.

They are very different games, and both of them have deep characters that are endearing in their own ways.

And this is something coming from someone who doesn't even have both games registered on this site. Did you even play DA?

I bought collector's editions for both games because I appreciate Bioware more than any other game developer out there. And last year I was actually looking forward to ME infinitely more than DA, but the latter exceeded all of my expectations by miles while ME actually managed to disappoint me in terms of characters and story.

I haven't played DA:O, I know I should be crucified for what I hath said, so I don't really know which side to take. But ME is the only series I have stayed up all night two nights in a row to beat and loved every minute of my wasted time.

Person probably hasn't played Fallout 3 and they themselves wanted guns really badly in DA and were reanacting the moment they found out there wasn't an option to turn your Warden into a Human Noble Commando.
