Intellivision was way better than atari 2600 (loved playing dracula and night stalker)

At least the characters in DA:O have the ability to annoy folks as much as they annoy folks in this thread, and there are quite a few of them my Gray Warden would have gladly sacrificed himself for. Sadly the same can not be said of the ME2 crew.

You know why?
It has NO Tali!
So which BioWare game to you people think is better as far as character writing goes? Although the Mass Effect cast does have a few saving graces, I believe Dragon Age is leaps ahead in this regard.
Oh how fortunate, to have you spewed in a forum.
you know what else is great?
realizing one day, yours' is not the only opinion!!!

ME2 is not without faulty characters though, such as Morrigan. It sounds like her voice actor is constantly rubbing her mouth against the mic and then she glitches out half the time and her textures turn bright yellow.
DA:O has only one great moment though and that's when they reveal you to be Revan, that turning point in the story is probably the only saving grace of the game. The party members are almost entirely glitched or annoying like when Minsc starts talking and the Boo sound file loops fifty times at maximum volume it just ruins what could have been the best character. Oh and don't get me started on Tali, how did she even become a grey warden in the first place? What a worthless pile of dwarf flesh.

i liked dragon age but after you set your squadmates skills to "drink potion at less than 50% health" the game is a movie and not a challenge, even on insanity. i was tempted to remove squad tactics just to make the game harder.
but really, turn based combat is the devil. the only company to ever do it justice ever in all of time is bioware, and even then it gets boring.
the devil.

DA:O Amazing are Wynne, Alister, Sten, Shale, and Morrigan
ME2 Amazing are Tali, Mordin, Legion, Garrus, and Grunt
BG2 Amazing are Imoen, Aerie, Jaheira, Minsc, Edwin, Viconia, and Jan Jansen
All Bioware games have great characters.

turn based combat is the devil. it requires zero skill and is more of an interactive movie than a game to be played.

So I have noticed that 95% of the people who are negative towards ME 2 have Liara somewhere in their profile picture. Please tell me I'm not the only one who notices this...
Wonder why that is?

ME2 vs. DA:O, no contests. DA:O simply steamrolls over ME2 in the quality of its writing. ME2 is a fun action game with vestigial RPG elements, but it sure as hell doesn't count the quality of the writing as one of its strengths...

Humans, Elves, and Dwaves team up to take out an army of cannon fodder spawned from some deep pit. Gee, where have I heard that one.Mox Ruuga wrote...
LOL @ reason. DA:O has Alistair and Morrigan tho... But both are better characters than the quarian fetish object by far, and neither have fanbases as creepy or obsessed.

oh and also Jade Empire but i never played that
I was on a Bioware hiatus during that time. I watched a lot of my friends play KOTOR and liked what I saw but never really learned any of the characters. I still have Jade Empire sealed on my game shelf, not sure why...maybe I'll get arount to that.
As for gameplay, ME2 blows DA:O out of the water. DA:O amounted to playing Warcraft by yourself pre Burning Crusade, same tactics, pull mob, focus dps, cc, heals on tank, don't pull aggro if dps. Which would have been fun at one time but after WOW where everything is both free flowing and social I couldn't stand pause/play. I eventually just started playing on casual and rolling face. The writing was very good but the cinematography was terrible, compare Tali's trial with the dwarven prince crowning. I think the lack of a main VA also killed DA:O for me though I'd still give it a 9/10 and I did waste more of my life than I'm proud of on it.

To be honest, I preferred James Pond: Robocod, over both games.
I mean, the graphics were vibrant and alive. The character development was amazing, and the game didn't even have a romance in it. I could totally empathise with James Pond, and saving the Penguins became extremely important to me. The game grew progressively more difficult as your skill improved, and eventually became a real challenge.
I hate you, Bioware, for not making these games more like James Pond: Robocod.

In Dragon Age, the environments are hideous, Morrigan puts a bra ON to have sex, the animations are sloppy, Morrigan is an unredeemable bltch, the lighting is weak, the combat is dull, the dwarve's voices are too weak, the first battle is rushed, and worst of all the epilogues stuck on the end are all vague, inconclusive, insubstantial, and depressing (still, I enjoyed the game
