I did NG+ right after NG with the same character, except at a higher level and on Insanity. I noticed that it's much more glitchy the second time around and required a lot more reloading. Here is my list of observations:
- I assign my team members to seek cover in a previous room, then I move into the next room where a battle occurs (say the boss battle to get Grunt). The team members are stuck in the previous room (door locked) and all I can do is use their biotics/tech.
- clip between walls and pillars during battle, forcing a reload (occurs for both my character and other team members)
- team mates not following order to move to certain location, or respawn clipped between walls and pillars after unity, forcing them to die because they can't move or seek cover.
- Thane loyalty quest glitchy when walking througout the rooftop: not speaking dialogue when Thane asked about status, and crashes on several occasions after stock boy scene.
There are also bugs that happened both in NG and NG+ :
- On the quest for Mordin (I have Zaeed on team) during one conversation scene (I forgot which one) Zaeed would walk through a wall and spins around behind the character being spoken to.
- Battle between Morinth and Samara: sound cuts out.
I ended up finishing the game on Insanity but it can be frustrating when you finish a tough battle but the game somehow glitched and forced to restart the battle. Also, these bugs might also occur in NG but it might be more noticeable when playing on a harder difficulty.
NG+ more buggy than NG
