Not sure exactly where you pick it up from, but it is in the temple you go through in the Sacred Ashes quest.

Arcane should be wearing something heavier like actual armor. The first skill in the tree lets you use the magic stat for determining armor instead of strength. Thus meaning you can run in nice heavy armor

there is a arcane warrior that you kill while doing the sacred ashes quest line. thats where you get the sword. i suggest grabbing the juggernaut armor, you pick up different parts of the armour as you go through the elf quest line

If you want max effectiveness I'd go for the blood dragon chestpiece and some magey stuff for the gloves/boots. That chestpiece has tons of armor for only 16% fatigue. The juggernaut fatigue is just a bit too high for my tastes.

Yeah I threw on the dragon armor that you get for dlc on my mage, and essentially turned all my mages into arcane warriors..

I think its in the room of sacred ashes on the body of the "unfortunate adventuer" i may be wrong though. Or its in secluded 1st room where you vs drakes...

No it's a drop off of the overseer which is a mage. you take the alternate route instead of continuing to the boss and will fight the overseer and several Drakes.Tarvits wrote...

Specifically, the last tunnel you're in branches. The turn to the left leads to the head of the cult (Korigan or something) but if you keep going straight there's caverns with more eggs and the overseer is up on some dias to the left in the first room you come to.

I like the juggernaut gear. It's not the best for fatigue but I think it looks great. That has to be my favorite armor in the game. With the juggernaut gear and the earthshaker(not sure on the name) shield or something plus all the buffs my armor is insane. The blood dragon armor was okay but I didn't like the way it looked compared to the juggernaut.
*Ya, the sword is in the cavern where there is a drake and some other baddies.
*I was hoping to get a shield from Gaxkang but I got a sword instead.
*I was messing around with some armor combinations and one I was using was armor of diligence, cinderfall gauntlets, mage boots that add +10 to dodge attacks, a light elvish shield with some stat boosts, and a soldier helm. I like the way those helms look. The only thing was I wasn't sure if the gauntlets added to sword damage with the fire, or are they only for a staff.

The best gear I found for using on my arcane warrior is the Ancient Elven Armor, nice def boost plus less fatigue so I can cast more, the shield I'm using is the Fade Wall.

I would say that for armour on an Arcane Warrior, Warden Commander or Superior Dragonbone Plate Massive armour would be the best choices, due to the huge protective benefits conferred plus the fact that they both sport fatigue reduction - every little bit helps when you cast spells.
Juggernaut And Legion of the Dead armour are also brilliant protection-wise but you take the full ~35% whack to fatigue that you'd expect from Massive armour.
My Arcane Warrior wielded Spellweaver and a Silverite Crow Dagger, both souped up with Lightning and Paralysis runes, Anduril's Legacy, Key to the City, Lifegiver and Spellward with full Dragonbone Warden Commander armour. In my opinion, there was no better. Add in Staff of the Magister Lord and yo have yourself a super hero.
I got miffed about the fact that the Helm of Honnleath looks crap and you don't get Corruption until practically the end, so I made my own custom Dragonbone helmet in the toolset with a rough combo of the stats of the two helmets. And a custom Dagger, as I really like the Crow Dagger design.

My mage (Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior) uses Harrowmont's Staff (electric damage), Gray Warden Helm, full set of Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor, Destructionist belt, warden's oath, key to the city, surveyor

Yes, absolutely. I cant stand to see my toon running around dressed in something I dislike. And Juggernaut looks so good. Fade Wall matches pretty well, plus various 1-handers. There are some really great swords around when one gets closer to endgame.
