They definitely need to add those, it just seems like a huge empty void in the ME universe to not see them.

I vote on the females being added too. I don't know, it just seems weird to me that they're excluded so much. I know they didn't have the time and such for ME 1 and 2... BUT THEY CAN GO WITHOUT SLEEP =P

Umm, there is a female Krogan on Tuchanka by the Shaman. And BW originally meant to make a female Turian in ME1, but they didn't have enough time and money to do so. As for Salarian, I don't know.

No, he's male.

He's just their representative.

I am really hoping they finally add females of all species in ME3. it is really absurd that they haven't for ME2. i understand ME1 missing it, but ME2 had plenty of time and resources to skin and model some female aliens.

Well, we may have already seen some female Salarians. They're not going to be sporting a big pair of boobs seeing that they're reptilian and lay eggs. I'm not even sure what the Turians are, so BioWare could say that there are a few females in game.

And while female Krogan would be... weird (with the redundant organs and all), I can understand not going through the trouble of trying to animate and incorporating them.

I'd like to see females from the alien species as well. There's something wrong, IMO, when one sex is effectively invisible, as if the default for aliens is 'male' (Asari notwithstanding). Part of that's being a female gamer - I'd like to see non-human females every once in a while (in a capacity not linked to breeding - I'm looking at you, body-horror DA:O). Particularly since I think Bioware's done a pretty decent job providing a variety of interesting human female NPC characters.

I think they have an excellent opportunity to introduce females with both the Krogan and the Salarians. After all, the codex indicates that Krogan females proven to produce viable offspring are the ones most prized and protected, but that's hardly going to be all females. I can't imagine that they're any less combat-oriented than their male counterparts, so female Krogan mercs or battlemasters wouldn't be out of line. Salarian females are, as stated, politically powerful - if you're attempting to rally the galaxy to fight a massive, imminent threat and you're interested in bringing the Salarians on board, who exactly would you be negotiating with?

exactly! Females are important too.

specialy turian women, since they're alowed to serve in the military.

But I'm not sure about the Krogan; they seem like a species that doesn't like female warriors.

it is specifically said that females warlords are a rarity (when talking about Shiagur it is always stressed that she is female)

So fighting Krogan females would seem a bit strange.

(I still think that Krogan with the shaman is female: can any of you tell a female Galapagos lizzard from a male when looking at them (specially if you put clothes on them))

They say he's not a female but the envoy to the female clan.

That is not a freakin female krogan.

Good lord, people, learn to read.

And no, I'd rather they spend most of the their time making sure the game has no loose ends and is a great game. No female other species, no gay LI.

What is with you getting all defensive whenever somebody brings up gay love interests.  It's not like Bioware would make them mandatory.  If you don't want a gay love interest, don't pursue one.  I don't see why anyone should care whether or not they exist in the game though.

I could be wrong, but I thought the conversation went something along the lines of:

Shepard: "Who is that?"
Shaman: "He is the envoy to the female clans."

Though, it would be curious that if it were female, why they would have an envoy to the female clans and not a diplomat like all the others.

Technically speaking how would you know the difference? There all reptilian by our standards. And if you remember 5th grade bio. Mammals only have boobs, and not reptiles.

Salarian females are incredibly rare and acts as matriarchs of families. Krogan females are defended and secluded. It is unlikely we'll ever see any of them (and I understand that).

Turian females though.. the fact that we haven't seen any is mindboggling.

Because we consider homosexuality an affront to nature and barring that, good taste. Other than that, I think the majority of people just don't want to see time and resources wasted on something such a vast minority is pushing for.

The excuse that Bioware used for ME1 for no Turian Females was that they ran out of time.... hmm. It annoys me a lot that while that excuse is okay for ME1, it is rather inadequate for ME2. Still, if the art department has trouble making a generic model for Female Salarian, Krogan and Torian. I would be perfectly happy with only 1 special character with a unique model.

Consider how unique a model that Grunt is. The art department had to spend considerable amount of time modeling him. Miranda definitely got special treatment as did Illusive Man. Mordin is also pretty unique with all the scars he has. Even some minor characters got special treatment. Aria is pretty unique looking,

So the producers should consider that when they create some special characters in ME3 that they consider adding a Krogan Female, a Turian Female and a Salarian Female.

I m personally hoping for that one of new squadmembers in ME3 is a Turian Female. They should make her a Spectre just to make things interesting.

Im pretty sure on the Thane recruitment mission you find a female salarian. The voice is much softer. If you dont know the one i mean, the salarian that points the gun at you. The other salarian says he her brother.

While it'd be nice, Mass Effect is fine without them. I'd rather have 4 or more weapons for every weapon category than see female krogan. I'd rather see more quests than female salarians. I'd rather have more and larger places to go that have nothing to do with the main plot (like the Presidium or Tuchanka) than see female turians. Etc.

I like the detail of the game world, and enjoy every addition: I think taking the time to model different sexes of alien races is a good idea. That is, I think so if they do so with creative xenobiology. Not every alien female should be designed with an hourglass figure and fulsome mammaries in mind. Heavens, if Turian, Krogan, Salarian or Drell women have breasts at all I'll shake my head.

Hmmm, yet I guess you're totally cool with human/alien romances then.  Nothing unnatural about that, right?

I think people who enjoy Bioware games enjoy the level of interactive freedom we have with the game's numerous characters and plot.  Adding gay romance options adds depth even if it's not something we have an interest in pursuing.
Only reason you consider it a "waste of resources"(as if a 20 second romance cutscene takes months of development time) is because you have a pole up your butt about homosexuality for some reason.

Better have female Turians. I wanna know if they're flexible as Garrus said they were.
