Perhaps it's just me but I always enjoy the second playthrough more.  I get to revisit a lot of decisions I regret making and it lets the plot soak in a bit more.

I thought Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 were more entertaining their second time around.

hmm no because i know whats coming and what people will say when i talk to them.

BUT stuff like the adverts (Hamlet by Elcor/Blasto - Blast of the Jellyfish Stings) were equally hilarious or more so.

Yes, it's a rare case for me when it comes to linear and scripted story-based games, usually I don't play them more than one time, but BioWare games have all unanimously been exceptions to the rule for me, from MDK2 passing by KOTOR up to ME1 and ME2... I've played each of them at least two or three times, I could in fact enumerate them all...

MDK2 - three times
Jade Empire - two times
Baldur's Gate 1 - two times
Baldur's Gate 2 - three times
KOTOR - three times
Mass Effect - three times
Dragon Age Origins - four times
Mass Effect 2 - four times

And I've especially enjoyed ME1, DAO and ME2 more during my latest playthrough than I did the first time primarily because I understand how to play them properly after that number of playthrough, specially with Dragon Age with the character tactics and skills attributions and side-quests and little secrets here and there, it was such an epic game, I wished ME2 would have been as big at least as DAO, unfortunately it wasn't the case but anyway, yeah, I enjoy most BioWare games more when I play them more than one time, contrarily to many other games out there on the market.

I usually do but that's only when my playthroughs are quite some time apart. Otherwise I get a little bored because the series of events are still fresh in my mind and become predictable.
