Fans of Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 + expansions should know this one well...

I just asked my dog to see if he could find something useful, and he returned to me with a pair of dirty pantaloons. Upon closer inspection, it says, you can make out that these pantaloons were once either gold or silver in color. Now, it labels them as a gift.

Just a homage to that classic epic quest line, or could it be leading to something more...

This was the first thing my dog found for me, and looking at the description it just cracked me up totally. Especially with my DA preparation including replaying all my old games/

Yeah totally! I remember when I got the first pair of panataloons from the noble side quest in BG 1, drove me crazy trying to figure out what they were ultimately for. Who would've guessed the final item, that Adamantite Golem-looking armor. Was an uber item too!

thats commitment! but i bet it was also enjoyment. BG1 and BG2 was my life from when i was 10-14. I enjoyed that game so much

I have them to, have not yet found any Golem Armor, but I'll keep trying, its become my obsession, to find the NPC who these go to! I've checked Denerim nobles, Orzammars nobles, and most of the other places I know nobles hide, but nothing so far.

Well whats weird is that it states they were either gold or silver but all BG enthusiasts know that there is a third pair as well (either copper or bronze).



Now its unlikely we'll find anything in this game. If its just an easter egg it ends there, if it is the pantaloons all over again then we have to remember that the original three pairs were spread over two and a half games (Throne of Bhaal was like a mini BG3) so we could either see it in DLC or another Dragon Age game.

I think that the Found Cake will be the new pantaloons.
I hope Bioware add a different type of baked good in every DA game.
EDIT: I just realised that the Found Cake is a Penny Arcade reference! Oh well, that puts paid to that idea.

I didn't know the cake was supposed to be a reference to anything and I still found it funny. At least it wasn't a lie. That dog is my favourite NPC.

I promptly gave the pantaloons to Alistair and he loooooved them. +10 boost. I forgot to save there so I don't know what would have happened if I gave them to others.... Maybe Shale would greatly appreciate being given pantaloons.

Well Shale is a golem and the pantaloons turned you into a golem....prehaps getting all three pairs will allow you to romance Shale.

Seriously? Damn, now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of the pantaloons. Need to give them to Alistair in my new game XD

As for the pantaloons, I have not checked this, but at some point Oghren(completely drunk) rants that the dog stole his pantaloon(or is it his underwears? I'm not sure anymore).
