Again I have to say that Andraste does seems like based on Prophet Muhammad, but some points does relate her to Jesus (betrayal, Holy Grail etc). I'm a Muslim btw, and I definitely can say that the Qunarian does seems like over-exaggerated Arab Jahilliya+Muslim (minus a couple of details that I think are not related).
As for the Elves I think they're either Pagans or Pantheist. The Dwarves seems too similar to Indian culture.

Thats an interesting look at the lore lines of Andraste. I would preface Andraste more towards Joan of Arc given the lore behind her and the Quinari as more of an Islamic reference based on the converstations with Sten and his divulgance of information about his race.
Yeah, the similarities to Muhammad may be incidental.
The Qunari however, are not based on Islam. They don't even believe in a God. They are probably the most interesting race in Dragon Age because they're so damn alien and buck many normal fantasy cliches. Dwarves and elves in Dragon Age were well-done, but they're still somewhat familar - the qunari aren't at all. Definitely would like to see them featured more heavily in a sequel.
The qunari are likely a combination of many historical sources. The most obvious one would be Confuscianism. The Qun is a philosophy and a way of life that exists in the absence of a deity. They value enlightenment (being part of something greater than yourself), community, and duty above all things. Their stoic lifestyle, disdain for materialism, and love of discipline reminds me of Sparta.
