Taunt to get attention of the armors. Get out of the room and position the tank in between the side bench and the wall. Done correctly your tank will only be atked by 2 armor - 1 from each side. Dun aggro the rest of the armor and juz focus on the one your tank is focusing on.

If you brought the Redcliffe Knights with you inside you can get their help in the fight if you get the armors close enough to where they stand after you beat up Bann Tegan.

The Knights are all dead out side, soI'll try mosspit's idea. Thank you all for the fast replys!

Keep the outside knights alive. The Revenant is very easy (with the right tactic), the suits are really tough (apparently their Rally is stacking giving them +60 defense, they have shields for ranged deflection and very good armor).

I killed them on nightmare with a pure melee party, without the knights help I didn't stand any chance (might be the toughest fight in the game if you do Redcliffe early).

That's a brutal fight. Lots of poultices.... I never open the gate until I've defeated the revenant, so I could bring the knight inside, but I never have. I don't want them to get killed. ;)

Use Maces where you can, they work pretty well against those metal buggers. Hmm judging by the post times you are probably past this bit now.

No I'm out of healing and have a pure melee party on normal at a low level. I do think i need to update the game and then start over.

I can't even take down two at a time, but all swings miss or do 1 damage. I could hurt the darn revenat but it would kill off my des and offtank, so I had to use Sir Pith to hold him as I killed the trash to get it one-on 4 .

If the bombs don't work, leave and come back later. Nothing bad will happen.

I'm trying to do this, but every time I do at least a couple of armors run to my ranged attackers (myself and Morrigan) at some point. I have both Allistair and Sten using Threaten and blunt weapons. My party is level 8 and I can't even manage to kill 1 armor before one of my party members goes down.

I have to say that I'm not really finding the combat in this game very enjoyable so far compared to most other Bioware RPGs I've played - I've had to fight most encounters multiple times on Normal in order to figure out the "gimmick" to beating them.

Orientation-wise fireplace is to the btm of the pix. In the said position, only a single armour will atk you at any one time. So basically the tank can hide there while your party supports him from afar. Just be careful of arggoing unnecessarily.

Thanks, that totally did the trick. On my first try, my ranged attackers ended up pulling aggro pretty quickly. On my second try, none of the armors actually closed in to melee range of my tank (they just stood in the middle of the room), so I just had him switch to a bow and (slowly, very slowly) pick them all off one by one.
