If you make a P/C with gray hair and wrinkles, won't it be weird when Wynne calls you "dear"? Or that you can sleep with Morrigan or Leilliana?

I actually thought about it too. What's the point in providing options for making your character appear old when everybody treats you as a youth anyway? It's just really odd making an old character and having younger-looking parents in HN origin..

Another one of those little things. It's quite amusing how the world recognizes you as being a youth when are clearly of venerable age, possessing both brow and beard to rival Gandalf himself.
Even moreso when you're given some berating speech about your intimate relations by a woman who could very well be much younger than you.

Lol, so true.
Ah, I wish there was age recognition in the game, and the origins varied depending on that. For example, in Mage origin you'd be a Senior enchanter who was close to Jowan and then was compromised for helping him, and so on.
Dreams.

Honestly, what could Bio do? Rewrite the origin stories to feature characters of indeterminate age? Or prevent players from ever creating a character that isn't young, even if they're going to play something besides the campaign that shipped with the game?
Take Izhuna's idea. Sure, you could do it. The problem is I don't think you'd be able to save even half the dialogues, and large portions of the plot would have to be rewritten too. Do this for all the origins and you'd have to cut one of the major quests to make up for all the dev time. And you're still going to have to rewrite tons of dialog from the main plot.

Eh, relax there. I was just _imagining_ that it would be so great if it could happen. But it's too resource-consuming, so it's not gonna happen, maybe in future games in 10 years or so.

Fine. My main point was that character creation needs to be more flexible than the DA:O OC can be, because not all characters are going into the DA:O OC.
