Put head-phones on and play Pink Floyd (preferabley Darkside of the Moon) while you go through the fade. It's a trip. No, really

I LOVE Pink Floyd..seen em three times...would totally distract me..I use chillout channel on di.fm..mainly long instrumental stuff so very good as background for DAO and suits the trippy stuff in the fade.

It's one of my favorite parts of the game. Some people hate any type of puzzle. There's a thread by a guy who claims to have spent two hours trying to make it through the Gauntlet.
