Punching that annoying female reporter on the citadel in the face :)

This was my 1b moment. I punched that lady soooooooo hard, even with my maleShep. She went down harder than Snookie . . .

When Thane meets up with his son and tells him about why his mother dies actually made me shed a tear.

The paragon "sex scene" with Jack. Very emotional and heart warming. And when Jack opens up to you and tells you about some guy she had a relationship with who died to save her. And when you hug Tali after she finds her father dead.

PI Hug ... if only all problems could be solved this way.

Harbinger: *Assuming direct control* Shepard we will kill y...

Shepard: *PI Hug*

Harbinger: Omg. After 50,000 years of waiting... you have no idea how much I needed that Shepard. Sorry for all the trouble, ok? We'll just go back to darkspace and not bother you anymore.

And of course, getting the brush off from Samara. What a tease. :(

Going to have to agree with the majority and give it to the Tali hug.

Also, the scene were Garrus laughs after Shepard makes fun of his newly damaged face comes in at a close second. I can't really explain it, but Garrus' expression seems to show a spectrum of emotions - relief, joy, and a feeling of acceptance by simply teaming up with Shepard again. Perhaps I am looking to much into this relatively insignificant scene, but I have to say it was one of the most emotional scenes I've witnessed during my Mass Effect 2 playthroughs.

I thought the "I did get better shephard, I got you," line was powerful. But the thing that got me the most, and in a sad way, was the log on tali's loyalty mission with the mother who is about to die telling her kid she loves him. That got me, it was so sad.

I really like conversations with Samara. Her facial animations are so convincing, particularly when she talks with a smile. She looks genuinely happy to finally have a friend to talk to. I felt a very real twinge of regret when I tried to bone her and she ran away.

I didn't think I was going to like the Garrus romance scene when it started, it was so awkward (albeit hilariously so). But when Shepard turned off the music and he got all sentimental..it got me. :)

I also though it was really cute when Thane gives FemShep the nickname, if you paragon convo him enough. I never pursued the romance with him, but I thought it was sweet anyway.

As you should, she said she wanted to be friends and everyone just couldn't think outside of their penis.

Watching the end cutscene, seeing all the reapers, and then realizing that I get to kill them all.

Actually either Jack's romance scene or hugging Tali after finding her father.

Favorite moments, ranked:

1. At the end of Garrus' acquirement mission...dude, I seriously thought he was dead...that Bee-Dubya had killed off my favorite character. Especially after all of the (gentle) teasing on the part of Priestly and Co. concerning the return of Garrus... And lo! - Garrus hacked-snorted-gagged and he was alive!! Definitely a good heart-warming feeling of relief. XD

2. Seeing Normandy SR-2 is right up there.

3. Miranda teary-eyed after talking to her sister. I like Miranda.

4. Tali hug a definite.

5. Garrus' romance scene. *cough* I totally was digging the forehead touching thingy as a sign of affection. And his awkwardness was totally appropriate. So much potential there.

6. Thane's teary-eyed confession during his romance scene. It works so well for a couple of my FemSheps.

7. And more...I'm sure others have said the same.

The Salarian father with his Asari step-daughter on Illium. I found the first half of their conversation amusing, while the second half made me tear up a bit. I liked the krogan shouting poetry at his girlfriend on Illium too, thought that was cute...

I really liked it when Shepard and Wrex met up with each other again. The music kicked in, and it was a cool moment between two old friends. Of course, for those of you who didn't play ME1, this probably meant nothing.

Its only creepy because you didn't pay attention to the conversation. They were talking about the Quarians putting her on trial. Not her father.

Creepy is romancing Miranda after finding out she's a clone of her father. Image IPB

There are quite a lot. In terms of purely 'how often I was moved deeply' this game is high up on my charts.

1. The entire opening. I went from fear to pure fury at my ship being gutted (I get attached even to inanimate things) to panic and despair as my Shepard suffocated in vacuum.

2. The new Normandy. Gave me chills.

3. As a Thane fangirl: obligatory mention of the infamous 'siha' conversation.

4. Thane's love scene. That was what convinced me to carry on with his romance. I was ambivalent about it (love a man you're going to lose in ME3? Made me sad.), and so watched his and Garrus'. There was no question after watching Thane's. I was lost. Woe to me. I thought my fangirl years were over.

5. Blowing up the Collector ship. Righteous vengeance visited. I was happy.

6. Getting everyone through the Suicide Mission. I am attached to almost all of the characters in ME2 (wasn't true for ME1), and was quite happy that no one was lost.

7. Mordin's little song. :P

The Asari and Salarian stepfather the OP mentioned

The Krogan warriors on Tuchanka talking about playing Tackle the Varren with his (supposed) child

Charr the Krogan and what's-her-face his blue rose of Illium

Thane's recall of the time he spent with Mouse

Thane's memory of his wife throwing herself between his targeting laser and target

Shepard and Tali's little conversation after her trial

Watching Nef's last diary entry: "How could this happen to me? I'm just dump trash from Omega."

Tali hug, Garrus's 'just once, I want something to go right', and the asari holding out on the Feros colonists. I thought her breakdown was kinda cheesy at first, but then I realized that I'd met her kids (Nelyna, the greeter for the Consort, and the asari receptionist at the embassies).

Edit: And the krogan talking about his possible son. Christ, Tuchanka was home to a lot of unexpectedly heartwarming things ('Shepard! My friend!').

Ooh, yeah, how could I forget the Krogan father...I actually ran back and forth for a good three or four minutes so I could hear the entire conversation in one go.

Oh, and Space Hamster's little squeak!
