Ok, i'm not sure how "epic" it actually is, but i found it interesting. After you've beaten the game (or if you picked up on the subtlety) you can pick out all the clues that Bioware throws at you that you need the upgrades or you're royally screwed. Granted some of them are fairly obvious, and most people would assume that you should just get them all, but still. But I figured, if they foreshadowed what might happen at the end of the game, why wouldn't they for the next game?
(At this point, feel free to point out how obvious this is and how I'm am the last person to catch on to this.)
Turns out they did. After beating Mordin mission, the mission complete screen pops up. Who read the summary? To me it seems that they went out of their way to point out that curing the genophage might be risky, but using the Krogan as shock troops against the Reaper might prove invaluable. Coincidence? I think NOT!
Unrelated:
I love how some of the planets hint at prior Reaper activity, such as that one planet the mentions how the surface was struck by several large impacts, and that the original theory of a broken asteroid was dismissed because they discovered that they only places hit were cities.

yeah, this is a trend they have consistently followed with ME, Starting with the first book foreshadowing ME1, and Ascension foreshadowing ME2, and the next book will most defiantly touch on all of those little things, and pull a major foreshadowing of ME3. It's a very nice pattern they follow.

Alot of foreshadowing is done in those Mission Summary screens, sadly, I didn't notice the button gave any info until I finished Legions Loyalty quest >_>
