LOL Everyone hated the Mako sections.

But they are revamping them with the Hammerhead. So just wait till that comes out.

That's like saying EVERYONE loves scanning, or did you take a personal census not just here but on every game site, and ask individuals, how do you like scanning as opposed to exploration?

Please.....

Does anyone actually use "everyone" literally anymore? I mean, statistically speaking, nothing is absolutely loved or hated.

folks who disagree with opinions tend to use "everyone" on more than one occassion here. Everyone likes the ammo system, NOBODY cares about Ashley being in the game everyone hated her. It's ignorant not to consider all sides and all opinions, if you dont like someones opinion base your response on something more than attempting to make it seem like you are the speartip of a majority, just say I do not agree, or I do agree and this is why ________(personal observations here).

1) Its not like ME2 missions are that different either.

I have no idea where you got this from. What about the party member quests? Samara's and Than'e don't even have combat. Zorya and Garrus' are nothing like this. And what about the mission where you have to power the mech so that it destroys the barriers to the mineral resources? ME1's missions, geographically speaking, were very similar. The layout of the bases were drawn from one of a few templates. There were some exceptional ones, such as the one where you were ambushed by geth (or when you were ambushed by the Thresher Maw). or Geth Incursions, but for the most part, they were bland.

can you give me ANY proof of what EA did to change Bioware? ANY? PLEASE!
all i see is people cry about EA buying Bioware and now Bioware is F'D.

so if you have anyproof of a change or a new direction the ceo goes, let me know.

ps: i love your conrad sig :D

If Samara's uniform and Miranda aren't proof enough that EA changed Bioware, I'm not sure what is.

Party member quests are main missions according to the journal, so...

I liked the side missions in ME1 better, because they (usually) came with a set up story- someone calls you or talks to you.  In ME2, you just find the locations.

And besides, running over mercs with a tank never gets old^_^

You are right abour some of the loyalty quest. However, while some maps in ME1 had that kind of layout, some times maps had alternative paths, two ways of aproaching the same escenario.
As for the party member quest. Yeah there are good ones Tali's, Thane's and Garru's are decent. But there is little to no sense of inmersion in them.
ME1 had some task to do on every main planet, like arresting Annoleyis on Noveria, doing the sewers on Pheros, etc; those kind of expanded the feel the first one had, because all those task where somehow connected to the main plot.

My brother told me something I never noticed: while being on the Moon, looking at the Earth is really emotional. That's probably what people are missing from the Mako sections; the feeling of being into space.

Yes. The Mako was awesome.

1. Fire cannon.
2. Spam machine gun until cannon cooldown is back up.
3. Stay completely still. Unless a slow moving missile almost reaches you -- then drive forward a few feet. Other than that, repeat steps 1 and 2.

And driving for 15 minutes to do a terrible 5 minute side quest.

Yes. Loads of fun. Awesome. Now that we're both convinced at how amazing this game mechanic was, I'd like to sell you some magic beans...

The Mako really isn't bad at all in ME1 ---> IF you only use it to go to the important mission oriented place on the map. Driving around looking for 'Those Minerals' will be tedious but just using it as transport to the missions is fun. And way more fun than scanning.

I now play ME1, then ME2. I started doing this after playthrough 4. It is really fun to make a new character in ME1 and playthem all the way through part 2. I do NOT drive around aimlessly collecting anomolies or gathering 'Those Minerals'. I just place a marker at the quest location/important spot and drive there. Sometimes I shoot stuff on the way. It's fun.

Driving around looking for unmarked locations that have 'Those Minerals' is NOt fun. I agree. However, it is also completely NOT required or even remotely necessary. Skipping all that mineral gathering you will still max your money, get most XP, and gett he completionist or ally achievements.

I wouldn't mind all of the Mako sessions if they weren't all identical areas, if they had more of a different look they would have never been boring in the first place.

The only thing I miss about the Mako is pulling of crazy mad stunts. 1080's, double flips, grinding, fun times.

Of course, the fact that I had to use the Mako for something completely not for what it was intended for kinda says something about it : \\

Lol! But that was part of the fun. Kind of like the first time you got into the Warthog in Halo. You didn’t just got to where the next fight was supposed to be you busted that thing out doing every little trick you could think of.

-About the only thing I will say bad about the Mako was the turret also controlled the direction you wanted to go. It should have been, (on the 360) left joystick movement and right joystick turret movement.

The Mako was, I thought, a good idea that was poorly implemented in the first game. Rather than try to 'fix' it in ME2, however, they removed it entirely. I don't know the discussions and decision-making process that went on at BioWare that led them to do this, but personally I would have liked to see the Mako retained but used in a more interesting way. As always, just my opinion.

cause the full plate armor in neverwinternights was really full plate? or just boob covrage and the rest was magicly protected.

youd have to come up with a better point than that.
