players respond "ARRRGH BATARIANS ARE SCUM!!"
or is it that you are roleplaying a specific shep save file on the forums? regardless, it makes me lol.

Some ex-slaves should just take an old freighter, put it on autopilot and crash it at FTL speed into the Batarian homeworld.

That's a horrible idea, it would just be an act of terrorism.

That's a horrible idea, it would just be an act of terrorism. I would support though finding a Batarian colony with missile systems, and then fire one missile at the space port and another at the city.

Speaking of backstories - I can remember only 2 combinations which have nothing to do with batarians, namely Earthborn/Survivor and Spacer/Survivor. Every other combination seems to have batarians responsible for a lot of trouble in protagonist's life. So it is no surprise that dislike for batarians is somewhat more...personal.

I think its pretty hard for a Ruthless Shepard to accept Batarians. I mean, I went out of my way to kill every damn one of those bastards on Torfan. They even tried to surrender and I gunned them down as they surrendered.
I'm ruthless and a colonist but I have no problem with a batarian squaddie nor is my Shepard racist against the batarian people.
My Shep didn't kill all those batarians on Torfan because they were batarian, he did it because they were criminals, he couldn't give a damn what race they were my Shep would've done the exact same thing if they were asari, turian or even human.

I'm fully in favour of an option to shoot/kill any potential Batarian squadmates. After all, several squadmates in ME2 are optional, such as Legion or Grunt. Several can be killed under a variety of circumstances.
I understand that some Shepards, wheter Paragon or Renegade, would naturally have an unreasonable hatred for Batarians. The point, however, is that I'd like to be able to make the choice.

The only Bataarian that did not immediately shoot me, threaten someone or try to intimidate me would have been the Bataarian shopkeeper on omega and of course the sick fella in the quaratine zone. Even the sick fella was trying to lift his pistol and would have if he wasn't so weak
The rest have been terrorists trying to bring down an asteroid on a city, slavers trying to capture some slaves, more terrorists trying to shoot nukes at a spaceport and a city, low lifers that threaten torture to an unarmed man, mad suckers who tell everyone humans are a blight, etc
Basically they are like Drizzt or Fall from Grace, every 100,000 of them you find one that isn't evil
