Lots of people wanted a batarian squadmate prior to ME2's release, but eventually all the characters were revealed so hope for a batarian squaddie died down.
I personally would love one.
Oh and I can never believe how mindlessly racist people on these forums can be to a fictional race.
I thought people were smarter than that?
Batarians have aligned themselves against Humanity. You are a human.
I thought people were smarter than to side with the enemy of their species rather than with their species
The batarian governemnt is against humanity, not its people, if you believe that if a country's/planet's government is corrupt than all its civilians are also corrupt and deserve punishment, than you sir are an idiot.
On an unrelated note I have no obligation to humanity specifically, purely because I am human. (but thats a completely different argument)
Oh and by the way...I can see that you're very used to using the term "racist", but in this case...
Specist? Speciesist? Curses! Well, my point is that we're talking about SPECIES, not RACES.
Races have very little discernable difference, DNA wise. Now, between Species...whole new shabang. We can expect sharks to try to eat us. We can expect birds to fly. Stereotyping is allowed with species, even to politically-correct types such as yourself.
Everyone in the ME universe calls it racism, if you've got a problem with that **** to Bioware.
"The Batarian Government is against Humanity, not its people"-What? Humanity is composed of it's people, hate to break it to you. Now if you said that the Batarian Gov is against the ALLIANCE that would make more sense since the Alliance is a government of sorts.
I don't think you understood what I meant, the batarian government are the ones that are corrupt, each and every individual batarian would have its own opinion, some good some bad.
You have to admit, most Batarians you encounter are rather hostile.
That doesn't mean all batarians are hostile, surely you can't believe that?
The only batarians we see are on Omega which practically everyone on Omega is corrupt, regardless of species.
One of them even poisons you just for having the audicity of ordering a drink! I'm told he poisons you no matter how politically correct you are, so even your paragon-shep isn't safe.
My Shepard is very much a renegade, just not mindlessly racist.
"Everyone in the ME universe calls it racism, if you've got a problem with that **** to Bioware" -Well, if you want to keep calling a frog a llama because a video game does it too, more power to you. Or less power to you. Whatever floats your normandy.
Now you're just arguing with the games lore.
