well considering he spams his own topic, his profile and character update are...hopefully behind as it seems, he doesnt wear armor of any sort nor a decent weapon.

I doubt your customed to rpg's. im not going to tell you any cheats anyway since thats simply not the way to play it. Its neither false advertising cuz easy is easy and normal is normal and so on.

I think its safe to say your either a troll or simply a noob at rpgs of this kind.

Trolls are,by definition, folks whose purpose is to inflame and aggravate other people especially on forums such as these.

Their methods certainly vary, however there are a few very fundamental aspects common to all trolls.

One method, which you have obviously mastered,is fabricating falsehoods (lies) and spreading it around to people especially on forums such as this.

You know nothing at all of my armour because I did not post those specifics

At the moment my main character is wearing:  Scale Armor (Steel) Dwarven Boots,Helmut and Gloves

The most expensive stuff I could afford at the present moment which makes your statement above a fabricated lie and subsequently proves that indeed you are the troll feeding off of your pathetic lies.

Right, seeing as you call me a troll regardless, im not going to act nice with you as ive done before. I was not lieing, i was going with what your characters profile said on this website. Calling me a lier because your profile info is not up to date is not really a decent way to make friends.

There are no cheats btw, and even if there were, they are not the way this game is meant to be played. I cannot help it if your a noob at rpg's and cannto even utilize tactics and strategies or micro manage your characters.

As for the patch, it is save on all versions.

List of Companions:
Dog - Human Noble Origin or Ostigar
Alister - Ostigar
Morrigan - Kanari Wilds
Leliana - Lothering
Sten - Lothering
Wynne - Circle of the Magi
Oghran - Orzimmar
Zevran - Random encounter

No, do not use the console commands. They can break your game.

In the lefthand of the webside is the menu. Go to My Game -> Game Patches, and download and install the patch there.

lol.. if you can't play this game on easy and got that frustrated you shouldn't be playing at all. if you DID spend the 'hours and hours' you claim on the ogre fight alone i'll give you props for stubbornness, but demerits for idiocy. i feel sorry for you, to have to cheat to have fun in a game - like a child. can't wait for your overblown response.

People here are nog going to help you with cheats dude, go to other forums for that if you really want it. Th fact you cant even play through it without cheats on easy, says enough of your mental abilities regarding a classic RPG (these arent as simple as WRPGS)

as for shale, shale is part of the Stone prisoner Downloadable content, if you dont have that, you wont get shale.

Is this the tabloid trash show with Bonnie and Clyde?

I'm sure you both would find a better audience with your kind...Poor white trash just doesn't really match well here.  There's plenty of places though,I'm sure, that cater to your kind. You just have to be patient.....or maybe walk outside your trailer and ...you never know  You just might hit the jackpot

Oh, I thought it was going to be a legitimate complaint, but it's just another whine topic about the difficulty.

Next time, skip the overly sentimental intro and just skip to the point.

here's how I killed the ogre.

Hit on him with swords (and dog bite) and a little while later he died.

you might need some healing potions in there too. :)

You are looking for trainers...you do know that if you click the little blinking plus sign next to the character that you train them, right? That's when you up your stats and pick your skills & talents.

So now I have a question about Approval

What I don't understand is this

Let's say you make a major upgrade of approval on one of your travelling companions

Even in the 100% range  I'm seeing maybe one or two more lines of original dialogue

The problem is that's ALL I'm seeing  and this is a concern

I would like to know how far does the character (characters) go?

You would say firstly  (without cheat) you could spend the majority of the game building and building this approval...but for what?    two or three more original lines of dialogue?   I mean I'm talking the expensive gifts and the whole thing....what does it add up to which logically would lead anyone to ask;

What is the point of raising approval in your travelling companions?

I mean really?   Perhaps I'm missing out somewhere?   Golly,I hope so!

A trainer is a program that makes it easier to input cheat codes, or does it for you at the click of a button on a graphical user interface.  It is a cheat request, rather than looking for a way to level up.

If you used the console to up approval to 100 then you've missed a few conversations. High approval gives the follower a stat boost. To see it, look at the skill page of the followers.

Romance with a few of the companions (sometimes at the same time).  Also, they get certain buffs that can be seen under the skills window.  They will get a stat increase, that grows at certain intervals based on their approval rating for you - the higher the approval, the higher the stats.

Oh and game patches:

Also, GamersGate game, as said earlier, is no different from any other version, so patch away.

whoever the ogre is attacking should run around in circles in that room. everybody else that has a stun move should use it while the ogre is chasing.

if its chasing the mage, try to get alistair to use shield pummel to attempt to stun it. i had my pet dog here so i never got to use the tower guard, but if the guard has a stun move too, use it. when the ogre is stunned, get the mage to cast paralyze on it. proceed with gang banging till he starts chasing someone again.

repeat process

Yup kiting...works, also switching alot between characters making sure they were doing some decent damage...helped me win that fight.

No one can answer your question about the cheat codes because playing this game on easy is practically cheating.

Well this is the thing; You can't just decide...Oh I like this travelling companion so I'm going to set out to commence a romance....the reason being that the travelling companion is either pre-set (pre-configured) to either like your hero OR not like them. Youre not going to "win" them over   I went all the way up (just to test) at 50,000 approval on some companions.  I could certainly be wrong but I thought 100% was as high approval as it went to. I've put several of mine to 100% ..  Theres nothing to it..

I'm not trying to be ignorant but this game falls to that level unfortunately..

The question I need to know is

Besides approval % how do you know what travelling companions are interested in your hero and what travelling companions are not?

And lastly when you speak about "romance"  are you specifically speaking about "physical romance" or simply having an endearing one to one conversation with the companion?
