yeah take your copy of the game and give it back to bioware with a note that says "I am too stupid to deserve this, sorry to waste your time".

lol.. if you can't play this game on easy and got that frustrated you shouldn't be playing at all. if you DID spend the 'hours and hours' you claim on the ogre fight alone i'll give you props for stubbornness, but demerits for idiocy. i feel sorry for you, to have to cheat to have fun in a game - like a child. can't wait for your overblown response.

Well that's what you get for cheating... Using those commands to up approval doesn't automatically open every option you get with their during play approval. Nor does it unlock the special skills they earn with approval.

Anyone can be won over, though it doesn't mean you'll get it easily.

If you screwed up a dialoge option and offended them before you could romance them. well your screwed unless you reload a earlier save.

The Romance options come after the newer dialouge. You have to say certain things and then you can initiate a romance between someone. Learn more about the characters and their pasts. Part of the dialuge involves telling them you want to discuss us and then there should be an option to where you can initiate the conversation.

There are only four characters you can initiate a Romance. Three of them with your character... Morrigan, Alliana, and Zevrahn Though as a dwrave you might not be able to really get into a romance. Have played that far as a dwarf. And you have to play it like a normal romance taking time to know them a little first. You can't just choose a carachter and "tumble" with them.

Also part of the dialogue involves getting to certain plot points first. Although I managed to win Morrigan over fairly quickly with a couple of gifts and appealing to her playful side.

You do claim this isn't your first RPG so I have to ask what are the most recent RPGs you have played. If you are trying to play Dragon Age like this is Fallout 3, WoW, Final Fantasy or Oblivion you are going to have your rear handed to you on a silver platter. If you have experience with Diablo or Neverwinter you should try playing it closer to that.

I have one piece of advice for you in your journeys through the rest of this game, and in fact, life. Be more resourceful.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but you say

And again not to sound facetious but there are characters (who are travelling companions as well) who say three words   literally  that is it  three words

Its not my agenda to dispute what you are saying but try raising approval for Oghrem  (seriously it sounds hilarious but I'm not kidding)  you will never hear anything but three words  period

heh, haven't gotten far enough to collect him, my main save just made it to Redcliffe Castle.

Maybe he just doesn't have anytyhing to say? Sten is the one I can't seem to get more than a few words out of.

Although that's fine since I am mostly paying attention to Allistar, Wynne and Morrigain.

Who in heaven's name decided to put a travelling companion in the P.C. Companion's Slot that says three words?

Frankly,Dog says more than that and at least he rolls over and collects stuff

That is what you get when you cheat approval rating. The game is not meant to be cheated, and well using console cheats to get what youw ant, ends up mostly negativly.

Seriously, this guy is either a troll, or just stupid. Calling people 'white trash', which basically is a stereotype and mildly racist one at that. Attributing people to murderers and whines about breaking aspects of that game when he cheats. By all means, if you wish to cheat, cheat. I've cheated in SP games sometimes too, but i fail to see why you or anyone else would whine about it and then flame ppl who dont see things your way.

(ps, i played this game on easy too. i found it challenging, but not to the point where i had TPK. infact, the most i have ever had knocked out at one time was one party member.
