I read in the faq about an item you buy for 6 gold that lets you re - issue talent points into others.  Thats great. Now does each item only allow for 1 talent to be re allocated?  And when we start Awakenings, will all the new talents be available right away?  I am guessing we will have to unlock the new Specializations.  This is a very intriguing aspect in my opinion so I wanted to see what others thought.

I'm pretty sure it'll allow you to respec all your talents and skills.

That would really suck if it did that.

I assumed that the tome would allow re-allocation of all talent points, but maybe it won't...

I will probably die a little inside if it doesn't

If it doesn't everyone will just download the re-spec mod.

Will that hurt anyone?

Well, if the pop-up text when you use it is anything to go by, your character has odd visions. So maybe.

The re-spec mod once made Oghren think my elf was a dwarf (well, he may have just been that drunk).

Dear lord, if it cost 6 gold to unlearn things point by point it could bankrupt even a wealthy PC. No, it's 6 gold and all of your skills, attributes, and talents can be redistributed from scratch.

(Although, if we did make it 6 gold per point and my character could someone get 10% of the cut - I'd be rich! Bwahaha.)

He confuses you once with Hesphit, if that's what you mean.

LOL. No it was a party dialogue. Its the one that plays if you're a female dwarf romancing Alistair.

Thanks for the info. I made a few errors in the beginning of my first character. It will be nice to rectify those swiftly. Rock on!

So... do we get an additional specialization point or are we stuck with the old two?

Hey Ferret - does it also reset specializations like the fan respec mods?

Are we still limited to two specializations or are we getting three?

Do you know if attribute points that were given as quest rewards (meaning the points granted in the Fade) will also reset and be spendable?

Or are those permanently assigned to the attribute they were added to?

The points granted via essences are "unlearned" as well and put into your attribute pool. So the best possible result for your character. And specializations are unlearned, too. The respec is super-handy. :)

it would be ridiculous if you had to pay 6g for each skill/talent you want to change, so no.. it'll affect all of them.

@Cuthlan: i think those points should reset as well, but we'll have to wait and see. ;\\

I asked Ferret in a PM, and he confirmed that those are also reset.

And then, of course, he came here and posted that they were. Posted Image

I am sure that someone is going to make a strat based on re-specing before each major battle.

Oh, very cool! I was worried that those attribute points would be lost to the void on the respec. Glad to here you took that into consideration :)

It definitely makes it worth being thorough in the Fade. All of those essences that are for stats your character doesn't need will be reset and usable for points you can use.
