I don't get you romance statement? ME has had a simplified template through both games which amounts to just talking to the person you want to caboodle with. If you are talking about the end scenes I thought they were the best ever, more tasteful and emotional than ME1 which were sensual but sort of awkward.

As for the game it seems everyday a new person is complaining that ME2 is not an RPG. It is, it has a role playing component and a game component, Bioware just switched the game part from an itemization/turn based tactics template to 3rd person shooter because it works better and has a greater demand.

Because I didn't register? Or maybe I didn't wanted to waste my money on this huge dissapointment? This is the true problem?

K0braTh0r, how did you get a game to work that needs registration to play ? this only proofs you are using a pirated copy of this game.

To fix this flawed "logic" of yours. TES V isn't coming out this year that is positively sure (since Bethesda takes years to atleast develop one of their games and it hasn't even been announced to be released this year). Fallout: New Vegas maybe but I have my large doubts on that game since well look at the developper (obisidian lol). Fable 3 (lol should I even?).  Maybe Halo: Reach though, thing is the fact that it's an Xbox Exclusive will lower the chances of that being game of the year, same could be said about ME2. Than again any surprise can occur, look at Fallout 3 which won GOTY last year.

Good point General9999 forgot about the option that is off now, Toggle Helmet and yes Garrus' damaged armor.

So.... only people who agree with you are real players?  Well, to me you've officially lost credibility B)

I really don't understand whats your big problem?

The ammo system?

I hardly notice it, i don't thnk i have ever run out of ammo in ME2, the only thing i notice is the cool thermal clip pop animation instead of the suckass overheat sound.

The fuel and probe system?

Again, whats the problem exactly, it's such a minor thing that i again hardly notice it, it's not like you have to be extra cautious or go to great lenghts to obtain those two commodities.

Maybe im dense, but what exactly is your problem with the face change thing or whatever i don't think i noticed any difference from ME1 in that one?

Im not saying ME2 is perfect, but the things you complain about seem to be somewhat trivial.

When you have played as many RPG's as I had, you can forsee the future of a game without finishing it, just by judging it's assets. And to phan56 you can be a real player but if you can't see something is flawed then you're just trying to be one ;) and the people that know BioWare's long list of great RPGs they know what I am talking about, that being said, if I lost my credibility to an ignorant, then it's no major loss ;)

Most of your points have been said many times; your point about customizing the face seems like you are just irritated for stupid reasons. There is an option to select default face, if you like default/marketing Shephard's face, like I do, then use it.

In terms of ammo, meh I don't really see an issue with it, you have more than enough ammo. And saying actual fps have more ammo seems like you don't even play fps. The last SMG in this game as over 700 shots, the assault rifle has just over 100, donno about you but most fps I've played had similar amounts to the rifle, and waaaay less than the SMG. The only "complaint" could be that the pistol or sniper run out of ammo too fast, which is a matter of opinion.

Inventory issues, minigame issues, yes to an extent it is too simple and needs to be improved. But, story line complaints? Yeah it could have been better/longer if they added a few more Collector missions instead of mostly character building. But, as far as I'm concerned it was epic overall, and the recruitment/loyalty missions helped you get to know your squadmates. Lets just hope a fair portion of your squad is the same in ME3 or this character building was pretty much for nothing. Heh.

Rayhaana I just hope they won't screw up with ME3 like they did with 2 and they'll bring back that awesome feeling that ME1 had.

A while back Bethesda said that TESV will have a 2010 release (Oblivion came out in 2006, if Bethesda releases TESV around Christmas then thats about 4 years, they had 2 teams for Fo3 and TESV so they could work on both)

New Vegas will probably be a good game as long as they do it similarly to Fallout 3's style (not like Fo1 or Fo2)

Fable 2 was good, Fable 3 looks like it will be great

The Halo series has been good (but H3 had its flaws) but Reach should be way better, just watch their vidoc to see it

On topic-

About this whole registration thing, you don't need to register a game to play it
or he could've borrowed it from a friend

and BioWare seems to ignore a lot of these threads, or if they do post then its a very vague general response

Haven't read whole post. I had enough after quick glance when I saw you miss omni-gel. Liquifying hundreds of junk items was so much fun.

OK, few more things:

K0braTh0r wrote...

1. Question. Why create Mass Effect with the character Shepard without a possibility to change his face or his last name (...) and then create Mass Effect 2 with that possibility (...) ?!?

2. After this I get totally shocked when I'm seeing AMMO on my weapons ... I was like "WTF?!?" (...) this was the biggest and idiotic thing EVER to see in a production with your signature. (...)

3. the storyline...hey I didn't expected to continue the game with the council saved and the galaxy too but at least the obvious choice for most gamers would have been Captain Anderson for councilor not Udina (again not a critical dissapointment)

1. That's progress. You don't like having additional options which, of course, you don't have to use? Instead it's better to complete another 50h worth ME1 playthrough just to get another face? Good idea. Annoying as hell but yeah, that would make unique Shepard.

2. Let me see. Guns use ammo. Guns use AMMO? Yeah, that's biggest idiotic thing EVER! Who would think about that? Unlimited ammo is so much more realistic and fun.

3. I hope you are judging this game after actually playing it because you can choose Anderson or Udina after like 15 minutes from the start of new playthrough.

I won't read your other arguments but I'm sure I don't agree with any of them and can counter them all with reasonable arguments.

Did you just admit to pirating Mass Effect 2 on a Bioware forum?  You have no right to complain about something you didn't pay for.

RE0305 it's not trivial I am playing it on veteran, I suppose there are more enemies than on the other difficulties and I run out of ammo on most weapons really fast some times ...

but also there is no way that ME2 could have become the best game of 2010 with so many great games coming out this year (Fallout: New Vegas, Halo: Reach, Fable 3, TESV)

but ME2 could have been one of the best but I think that BioWare blew it
maybe it was EA
or maybe BioWare just thought anything they make with their logo on it would be good and completely ignore most of the people who bought ME1

hopefully with ME2 being a disaster compared to other games they will learn from their mistakes for ME3

sure ME2 is still a good game, but in ME1 I did 7 playthroughs, but for ME2 its hard to even do a second

I couldn’t agree with you more on that. Well, except Halo Reach isn’t in the same genre of the other games listed but the way ME2 is now it fits I guess. By the way be careful about mentioning Bethesda games here… lol.

Its almost as if they didn’t quite get the game finished for the Christmas season but rushed it out before all the big hitting competition get out on the shelves. This is evident by the Zaeed download being available on launch day as well as the Hammerhead possibly (not confirmed) in a few weeks.

I only played ME2 so far, once as a paragon the other as a renegade. Its not likely I’ll go play again for some time since it just got boring to play way to fast. No replay value at all beyond that really.

Well, i have played ALL rpgs from BioWare and all i see in ME 1 and ME 2 is good innovation on the RPG genre. Sure it can have a few flaws, like going on ammo system on ME 2 but it actually works better on gameplay. After all its their own created universe, they can change it however they want :P
