Who else thinks that it would have been way better if the collecters
were stll building a reaper out of humans, it just didn't look like the
terminator? I think it would have been great, it would explain why the
reapers wipe out life every 50,000 years (to add to their numbers), why
humans were being abducted, and leave off with the feeling that you
answered two of the big questions and get you pumped for the next game.

I still say that ME2 is missing "The Reveal".

In the end Shepard goes all "Harbinger is coming", like there has been a "The Reveal", but we just never saw it.

And the whole huge-human-replica-terminator put me off a lot, too.

I mean I totally agree with everything the Mass Effect Team did with the story EXCEPT for the way the Reaper looked, I think the whole consuming organic life to make a powerful sentient machine is really cool and original, and the Collector twist was even better. The story was a perfect sequel IMO except for how the final boss looked

I agree, I just cannot imagine that thing flying through space. I mean all of the other reapers we see at the end look like ships, so why not the human one (unless of course all previous species were very 'ship-like' lol).

Don't blame Bioware for the Human Reaper, blame the Terminator people for over using the concept.

Well that's just the embryo, as it were. I would assume that the ship would form around it, as a kind of protection, so it looked similar to a reaper, but with subtle human differences.

Well, keep in mind it was still a larvae stage. For all we know, it could have ended up being the new Soverign, only it TRANSFORMS! Seriously, transformers in space, how is that not cool?

I was disappointed. It looked so ****ing badass but didn't provide enough of a challenge. That organic machine had the potential to make us all **** ourselves.
