A little dissapointed...

First, I was a complete ass throughout the entire game (I always like to play the bad guy the first time around). I'm very upset, that even after basically kicking these people the entire game, I'm now made out to be some glorious hero at the end. Why, like Oblivion and other games, am I forced into being the hero? If I'm playing an evil character I dont want people throwing roses at my feet. I want to destroy the entire republic army like I have in Kotor or sacrafise every last party members if I wish to like in Jade Empire. Forcing me to be looked at as a hero, when I've been a complete jerk the entire game, isnt the way it should be.
Second, can someone please explain to me why game companies, especially Bioware, decide that after completing the game you are unable to continue playing. I understand this game doesnt allow you to just wonder around as you'd like, it's not an 'open-world' type game, but that still doesnt mean I wouldnt like to still roam around the places I have been and see what my 'forced heroism' has done. Bioware does this with every game they make and then they listen to people begging to let them continue playing and they do it again with the next game...
What do I want? I want a patch that will let me continue playing the game. Yes, I will be making another character, but that doesnt mean that I should have to wait until an expansion to be able to play the ones I already have. Let me roam around, aquire armor, discover places I havent been, and complete quests that I may have skipped over or missed. I also want an expansion dedicated simply to letting me have an evil character. If I want to let the darkspawn destroy the world ....let me?
With the ending discussed, I have a few other minor concerns that I'd like to address. First of all, the nudity should be there. Period. Bioware, you were considering giving us this, and then you chicken out? Why? Somebody has to do it and take the heat so it can be mainstreamed. If nobody ever wants to stand up and do it, people will continue to think that 'games are only for children' and the gaming industry will never reach it's full potential. Why do I care? Simply put, M rated games are no where near on par with R rated movies. I do NOT think thats right.
Aside from that, loot should be fixed so it's not as random as it is. Have bosses drop more significant items, rather than 5x flaming arrows for example. The knock backs I think are an issue if you're playing a full melee team aswell. Other than that, I have no complaints. I hope a dev actually reads this or that someone takes interest in what I'm saying.

If you think being a bad guy leads to a frustrating ending, try playing a nice woman. Not a nice man. A nice WOMAN. Your options are even more severely limited.
The way I explain it to myself. The gameworld> your personal motivations. It doesn't care that you did it for personal evil reasons, or noble, altruistic reasons. It doesn't even care what you wanted to do in some cases. It is gritty like that- and a tad cynical. However they warned us that it would be that way.

But why would you want to destroy the world, when you can rule it?
And open ended games have just as much hate for them as they have love for them.
You want the evil path made better? wait untill the toolset comes out then have fun.You DID buy the pc version...right?right?
RE:Nudity....
Ok this is a big one.
First and foremost Nudity equals no X-box or PS3 sales..Yea I know its a PC first game but that's another issue.
Secondly,it reduces the number of countries it can be sold in.
Thirdly it removes it from the mass market chain and limits it to the adult's only shops.
So sex and nudity equates to a solid 95-99% DROP in potential sales. You should be able to see why its not taken any further.

Yes I bought the PC version and I'm having a blast with the toolset.
As for the nudity issue, I'm not saying put hardcore porn in the game. It can be done with taste. Honestly, wouldnt it be so much better if they just showed Morrigan's breasts? When a character obviously doesnt have a bra on the entire game, then pulls one out for a sex scene, it just doesnt make any sense.
The point is, PG13 movies show breasts. R rated movies show sexual intercourse with nudity. It takes ALOT for a movie to be given an X rating ..shouldnt it be the same for the gaming industry with AO ratings? You have to be 17 years old to purchase an M rated game. Do you really think a 17 year old has never seen a breast before? M rated games are not made for children to play ..just like R rated movies arent made for children to view.
Rating wise, I just dont think the gaming industry is on par with the movie industry. Theres still this thought that video games are ment for children only and that they're nothing but toys. The FACT is however, that video games have become so much more than pacman or duckhunt. People also fail to understand that the kids that grew up playing pacman, duckhunt, super mario bros, etc. are now adults and we play these newer games probably more than the young kids comin up now do.
Thats just my 2 cents. As for the evil ending that I so desperately seek, I doubt it will ever happen. I just hope Bioware doesnt make a habit out of forcing me to be the 'good guy'

Not that I don't completely agree (I do), but the assumption that the people censoring and rating video games are in any way, shape or form reasonable or logical beings puts a lot of faith into that most wretched hive of scum and villainy.
And corruption, as evidenced by some ratings of the past...

That said, it does seem odd to put such blatant T&A scenes in a game, then not show the T&A. Whatever. I'm sure there will be a patch for it sooner or later.
I also agree abot the boss loot. Loot in gnereal was pretty crappy the entire game. I had some characters at the end, still wearing their starting gear because i never found anything better.

I don't feel that lack of nudity detracts from the game experience an any way - and honestly im not completely sold on the 'romance' aspect of games like this. At any rate, we've all seen boobs and we all know what they look like. It's not a huge stretch of the imagination.

I can both agree and disagree with this because there really is no need to see an animated breast. Then again, theres also no need to place a breast in an R rated movie, but it's done. The thing that really bugs me at the end of the day is that it kinda ruins the realism of the game. If you dont want to show nudity, dont put sex scenes or romance into the game. But to place a bra on a character that hasnt had one on the entire game is just to obvious and it's hard to get past. Show her from the back or the side. There are other ways around this, not that they need to be implemented. I would think that in this day and age that we should be able to get over full frontal nudity in entertainment thats geared towards an adult audience.
As for the loot, I'm really not saying making it WoW style where every boss drops random purples. But the loot does need to be increased, especially for mages and rogues. Theres a few nice massive armor sets in the game, but theres really nothing for other players. Making the boss battles tough is a good choice, but increasing their loot just gives the player a better reward than "damn that took 9 reloads, i feel good about finally killing that boss". 9x Fire arrows dropping of a boss that took you 2 hours to kill just isnt right lol.
