Not sure if this was asked/answered or not, but I was wondering if our PC from Origins died, and we choose to use the Orlesian Warden (rather than retconning the whole thing) in Awakening, will we start at level 1 all over again with starting equipment, or does our level/stuff carry over regardless? I know it wouldn't make sense, but clearly that doesn't matter that much.

You are automatically leveled to 20.

I can presume you'll start with decent-enough equipment, probably dragonbone stuff, maybe with some bonuses. Probably nothing too special though until you pick up Awakening gear. For example, don't expect to start off dual-wielding The Veshialle and Rose's Thorn.

You'll get more than the people who used DLC and promotional items.

I believe it's actually level 15 you start at and not 20 but I'm not 100% sure.

I heard 15 too (20 would make more sense IMO, but whatever, level scaling will make it alright in the end, I guess...)

It doesnt really matter as your enemies always have the same level as you.
