Discussing? No. No harm in that. Its what the threads always turn into though. Its all about the "Evil" fox news and the "evil" media making Bioware cut the scenes. The point is, nobody knows except the Bioware staff. And more than likely it will stay that way.

But the problem with these threads is they become a political flame war. With one side saying they hate gays and the other side saying those who don't agree with same-sex are ignorant and stupid. Obviously, not everyone is like that, but a good majority fall on those sides of the spectrum. That's why I don't like the discussions on it.

I don't agree with gay marriage but I shouldn't get called ignorant for believing that. Its the ultimate hypocracy. If you believe in homosexuality, fine. So be it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But to both sides, don't demonize the other side if you don't believe in what they do.

/end-rant

Well, I can see your point, and yes thats happened before in the past, but so far the trolls have been down to a minimum in this thread I'm hapy to say.

...And just out of curosity, how does one "believe" in homosexuality? :P

I meant support. My bad. I was typing at the speed of light haha.

That's the reason the continued discussion over why Bioware cut homosexual romance grinds my gears. They always end up the same way everytime. I just think that its foolish to speculate why the cut it because they aren't going to tell us. It would be more productive to shout at a wall. That's the main point behind my rantings.

I support gay marriage, but this is the single most rationale and intelligent opinion on this thread.

Ah yes, "homosexuality". An alleged sexual preference of one's own gender. We have dismissed these claims.

Either way, I don't particularily care about gay in this game.    I just want my talimance on femshep.    If gays get a gay romance but I still don't have my talimance, I'm going to pretend to be a lesbian girl, make a new account, have everyone call me a pirate, and rant about why bioware is biased against lesbians, but not gays, and how they are all bigots (sound familiar?)

Not really...

This is what passes for enlightenment these days.  I especially like the 'lol' and the big smiley face at the end.  Its like the cherry on top.

Good, then by all means stick with Garrus and lets stop this "we demand girl-on-girl with Miranda and Tali in ME!" nonsense.

No, since variety is good.

Yes, and making every character bisexual because you want so isn't.

Admittedly, Im a goth so yea, by society's standards that puts me in that bracket probably which I have accepted long ago.  Dunno why, but that's just how its always been.  I guess some gay men are attracted to goth guys lol...Either way, it was fun pounding their faces and then breaking their noses with my head Jubei from Ninja Scroll style lol

I like how "kill" is in quotation marks.   The implications are hilarious.

I wonder if the logical extension of that thought is:

I wouldnt "kill" them either. I would just tie them to the back of my pickup truck. If they die, its not my fault.

Go figure.

I've punched goths simply for being goth in the past.

Having everyone on my ship being bisexual hurts immersion.

I mean, if homosexuality is 100% accepted in the future, thats great.    That doesn't mean everyone would suddenly become bisexual for no reason.

That being said, i want talifemance.

Dude, I used to be goth for 2 straight years and I know the (cyber)goth subculture is full with "gay" people who are not really what I call shy. Especially at parties where everyone is drunk they tent to make a move on you if you look "cute". But one of my homosexual friends once told me that most homosexual people have an eye for gay people. They can see if someone is gay or not and most likely will only make a move on you if you're gay. So yeah...

Ask BioWare. Or you tell me why tasteful nudity has given way to gratuitous clothed dry-humping.

At least ME2 tried to mask it for the most part.  The DA:O scenes were on the level of comedy rather than romantic.

At first, I disagreed with the OP.  Here's what I was thinking. If the writers decided that the ME2 LIs are all heterosexual, then that is just the way it is and changing them to be bisexual doesn't make sense. No, sexual orientation does not define character, but it is a personal attribute. It's like handedness. Some people are right handed, some people are left handed, and some people are ambidextrous. A fictional universe where everyone is ambidextrous would seem odd because that's just not the way it works. Likewise making everyone bisexual would just seem odd. Yes, I'm aware that in the ME2 it seems all major characters are hetero. I'd have nothing against BW adding LIs that are ******/bisexual. If that's what a character is, then so be it.

Given that player control over the story is one of Mass Effect's main features, however, I have to agree those who support the idea. Extra VA work aside, I see no harm with allowing each player decide who (s)he wants to romance and the nature of that romance. If someone wants their ManShep to have an intimate relationship with Garrus, then more power to them.

Common sense and nothing to do with time travel -- it's pretty normal to perceive differently the same person depending whether they can see you sexually attractive, as it can alter the character's perception of your own character and the attitude towards you (or reasons behind that attitude)
