No offence intended here, but maybe... because unlike a certain Yeoman Kelly Chambers, Miranda isn't bi-sexual or lesbian? Ever thought of that reason? Or do you consider all party members/NPCs as just objects rather than characters whom might have a preference if we were to 'flesh' them out so to speak?

I hate to break it to you but Miranda isn't a real person, her preferences are whatever the writers give her.
I don't see why it would be that hard to make her, or hell Jacob or Tali or Garrus or *through teeth* Thane bi-curious at least.
I've always thought we all are, to a certain extent.

When she picks Miranda up the leverage looks wrong. When male shep picks her up her legs are wrapped around his pelvis. When fem shep does it Mirandas legs are wrapped around her torso. Its easy to pick someone up when they are straddling your pelvis because it puts all the weight on your legs. Not so easy if they are straddling your upper chest because all the weight is on your back.

Or maybe I just have a bad back?

Thats a pretty weak argument...

That all being said, I would imagine this would be Joker's reaction to seeing that scene

It would actually be funnier if bioware programmed the dialogue so that if you do make a homosexual advance the character would tell you to get the hell off. That'd learn 'em.

Hey so long as my manshep gets Miranda and my femshep gets Kaidan you can do what you want.

I would point out that, in the scene, Shep picks up Miranda, supports her on the railing, stumbles back, smacks against the wall and then falls backwards with Miranda on top.

Any critique of how Shep is holding Miranda is rather irrelevant since she's not being held stably at all.

Jack does that.
And you don't even make an advance.

It's like
Shep: "Hey let's be friends."
Jack: "I AIN'T NO LESBO!!!1!"

Not in those words of course, Jack makes a reference to "not going for the girl's club thing."
Presumptious wench, I wasn't even interested in YOUR painted ass.

Yeah she keeps assuming my manshep is hitting on her also just because I go talk to her.  Man somebody thinks a little too much of themselves.

I hate to break it to you, you've just proved my point.

Writer created Miranda as straight sex, if you can't understand that, then I guess you really are stupid. Not every woman in the world is bi-sexual, thus in a piece of fiction not everyone in that world is bi-sexual, deal with it!

As I pointed out, Kelly Chambers IS bi-sexual. This stupid F/F crap has already brought you nothing, so why do you think re-hashing it by showing off an editted version of the game where flags were altered is going to change anything.

I always love the people that come into these threads that act so enraged it reminds me of this quote, particularily the last sentance:

"To all those heterosexuals that b**** about gay pride, I say the same thing: Every day is heterosexual-pride day! Can't you people enjoy your banquet and not ****** on those of us enjoying our crumbs over here in the corner? ~Rob Nash"

Yes this is just a video game but still there are some very sad, sad people in this thread who take joy at the thought of others being second class citizens. I'm happy my mshep gets to romance Miranda, I'd like it if my femshep could, I'll even ask and petion for the ability too...but I'm not some jerk who says "Only for me! No one else!"

In all fairness the fictional characters are at least to some degree defined by their limitations. Yes, any fictional character can be "made bi-curious" but on the very same basis they don't have to be. Even if they are the "certain extent" doesn't have to go all way to sexual intercourse, either.

So it's not as much about it 'being hard' but it being the writer's call. Just like they made a call to pick all other traits for the characters individually instead of making every single one of them same like the others.

I seriously hope BW doesnt start giving fan service to the "gay" community. Seriously, (Asari aside and talking about RL anyway.) had nature intended for Humans to be "gay" they would have made it so that we can reproduce Asexually like the Asari. But, seeing as how (aside from adoption or artificial insemination) nature doesnt work that way, it makes homosexuality "wrong" from a nature standpoint.

You don't have to agree with it. I don't agree with having gay love scenes. But don't come and troll. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Let them, those who support same-sex romance, have their opinion. Don't come and squash others opinions for not being yours.

I can say for certain that I have never ever been bi-curious.  Seeing another dude grosses me out.  However lesbians are totally hot.  I guess I am just a lesbian trapped in a mans body.:D

Yeah? So? The point is it didn't have to be.

As I pointed out, Kelly Chambers IS bi-sexual.

And also a gratuitous non-romance.
And yet again, nothing for male homosexuals.

Why would more varied romance options *for both genders* be crap?

Stop feeding the "outraged" trolls, people. Responding to homophobics gets threads closed.

Mordin does the same with female Shepard if you don't have a romance going with another character when it's time to trigger that conversation.

His pre-emptive rejection left my Shepard crushed. Crushed.

(ok, not really)

It's not an argument.  Geez why does everyone on the internet just want to argue.  Just saying that to me it looks awkward.  However if you think its sexy then more power too you.

Well I will say that I do hope it won't eventually come to pass that I will have to beat off every member of my group.  Romanceable characters are a little stressful because you have to make sure you don't accidentally trigger the romance with somebody you don't want...and of course the unfortunate result that that usually kills further dialog with them.

Dragon Age did a good job with that though.  I never had any problem just being friends with the romanceables I was not interested in...so I guess if they did that everybody could be eager to jump my characters bones and it would be ok.

Miranda was also created as a clone of her father. And also talks about attractive women and their assets. (sure its herself, but still) So I don't think it would be completely outside the realm of possibility.

Not that I'm at all pushing for the option. Jack would make more sense as a bi-option since she actually does specifically mention having sex with both men and women.

You should read my post from earlier. A persons sexuality doesnt define them, and these arent real people.

Bioware could have very easily written a good character, and made them an option for both male and female Shepard's, not nessicarily "bisexual". And as for Kelly Chambers, she was cute, but that was hardly a romance. That was probabaly there as a way for Bioware to keep the F/F romance supporters quiet, but it was not a full romance, not even close.

Making Miranda or Jack or Tali romancable by women wouldnt undermine their character at all.

I really don't know why Bioware didnt do this. Preassure from the media? Homophobia? Lack of time? I would really like to think it's none of those, since I doubt you guys are homophobic based on your previous games, and I doubt you care about the media since you had gay elf sex in Dragon age, so why? I don't get it.
