I need to change my race and have the companions know that i'm a different race.

It would be nice if it also changed my appearance as well to the proper race.

i think that there's a script for it with the command console. I believe it's runscript zz_dlc_debug

+ there is a list of these command console scripts somewhere on the boards. if not you should be able to find some over at gamefaqs.com you could also try the dawiki

That script works but it doesn't give you the option to change your race.

I tried changing my appearance via runscript but the npc companions still view you as the race you were before.

There has to be a way to do this.  I need to beta test the elf & dwarf for a mod.

Anytime I try to use the chargen in anyway I get very weird results.  The bodies are all warped, the vertex are all off, the skin weights get messed up as well.  The head is never on correctly.

Very strange - it always works for me. Are you sure this isn't being caused by some other mod that you have installed?

Or perhaps you're trying to use the chargen functions after the Module Start event? I'm not sure that would work.
