I downloaded the 1.01 patch tonight and now when I click the "Play" button it pushes and makes the sound but nothing happens--the game doesn't actually play

Please help!

Yep. Same. Immediately after downloading the patch I now have this problem.

See 'Patched and wont load' thread on this forum it links you to a Microsoft site for a download 'vcredist_x86.exe' : I ran this from the site and am back up and running now...
