I dont know people, I played NW2 for a bit, but I got a bit tired of the game play, and running around the dungeons. I also didnt like the fact that the core of the game is simple and repetitive. If you strip all the graphics from the levels you end up in the tunnel that eventually leads you to the end were you get reward or finish quest or whatever. It's just so linear in that way. Also the story line wasn't very intriguing for me. DA was much more interesting then NW2 story wise, but I also lost interest in it after a while. maybe I am just weird gamer that way.
WTF with all new games. When I played Witcher and noticed that the sword that hangs on your back dont have scabbard or frog-leg! why!> Then similar thing is in DA, me and my friend found is very amusing. I mean considering the possibilities of the graphics these days, why the hell they missed such a small, but obvious detail. I also found that all the armor looked similar in style(if you know what i mean), in DA. Just the color pallet and feel of it.
I think for me Witcher wins over other games cos the story had actual morals behind it, an it was played out in interesting way. For example when in the end of the first act when you defeat the Hounddog, and Witcher says why that evil thing happened in the first place. Cos of the greediness and hater and all the bad trait of humans. It just kept true to the feel of the original books. I thing there more substance to that story. It makes you think.
anyways it was all mu personal opinion.
Fallout2 rocks by the way!(no limits)
Isn't anyone else finding this far to similar to Neverwinter nights 2

And other thing I wanted to say. Everyone played for a different reasons, to get different stimulation out of it. I mean for example inovative fighting styles or slash and hack. If you are for the battle side of things, go join the medieval club and have a real fight, and see how it feels)
If you are for the story, well, go read a book(thats what I usually do)
If you are for role play, well, nothing beats good old getting together and acting out characters
if for tactics go play tactical game, like chess=)
I guess what I am trying to say is that combining everything in one game is a pretty hard thing to do, and when someone actually does it in a perfect way, I will take my hat for them.

The point is the distinction made by the OP about the difference between NWN1 an NWN2 was vastly overstated. The only "intended" difference between the two was a more developed SP campaign in NWN2. But the desired goal for NWN2 was to obsolete NWN1. It failed for a number of reasons that don't pertain to this thread, except that the over-complexity of the toolset was one, and perhaps DA's suffers from a similar issue.
The goal to obselete NWN1 was desired by whom for what possible reasons?
NWN2 was simply the next step for the franchise once pretty much everything that could be done within the NWN1 framework had already been done. The fact that some NWN1 fans could not get over the fact that NWN2 was not NWN1 certainly does not reflect a falure of NWN2 as a very successful game.
