Scions are weak vs the beam rifle... they are stuck in recoil under continuous fire.

The Collector beam thing? That's like the only heavy weapon I find even moderately useful on Insanity anyway, so it's like perma-strapped to Shepard's back.

I think they do, it seems as if they still take just as many bullets to kill once you hit level 30 as they did when I was at level 5 (since I imported I never actually started at level 1)

Make sure to do all loyalty missions before the IFF one.

Yeah, I intend to do at least all the loyalty missions beforehand but I was mainly wondering if doing the N7 missions and leveling up would make it easier.

Yea you have to have all the quests done by the reaper attack on your crew, if you want kelly to survive mainly. To save her you need to go through the relay immedialy.

Just get them to chase you around a big box while you shoot it in the arms. If you do it right, you won't even get hit!Biotic_Warlock wrote...
Btw, i have to ask, how do you kill heavy mechs on insanity, i can barely handle them on normal.

To GraciousCat!
I've finished game on insanity two days ago. I took Soldier like you class and my squadmates were Miranda and Mordin. The most difficult part of game on insanity was Horizon... after that playtrough was much easier. My tactics was simply: first take cover, then use Miranda's abilities (warp and overload against barriers and shields) and Mordin's Incinerate against any armor. And as a Soldier class I often switch ammo (incinerate/distrupting ammo). My favourite weapons were sniper rifles (Mantis) and assault rifles (Revenant). At the end I must admit than I had much more pleasure when I played on Insanity level rather then Normal....

I've already played through the game 3 times and honestly don't care what happens to the squad during this playthrough, this is just a "get through the game on insanity no matter what happens" sort of playthroughBiotic_Warlock wrote...

Sorry for the double post, but I thought that it would be important to thank everyone who contributed to this thread again, as I finished the game a couple of minutes ago on Insanity, and thought that I should thank the people who helped me out while I was having trouble. So again, thank you guys for helping me out when I needed it.

I've seen a tactic for soldiers where you use maxed adrenaline rush (+100% damage dealt -50% damage received), squad incinerate ammo and the revenant. Actually slices through the Scions quite quickly in adrenaline rush

Oh yea, against husks... bring along jack's shockwave and maybe thane or samara with mass throw.

Argh. That was a pain in the arse, Harbinger knocks you out of cover then the scion shoots you.

I am a level 17 Vanguard and am completely stuck on the platforms portion. I sometimes kill the first two waves and a scion then get massacred by the third wave. By then, I have no Medi-Gel, both squadmates down (Miranda and Grunt), and NO AMMO. HELP ME!!!
